"You get a feeling that parts of Kerala are being taken over by the crows! Azure Tides is a very nice development with a group of bungalows facing onto a small beach. The beach is spotless though you swim at your own risk. The staff are excellent, particularly Vandhana and go out of their way to organise trips, tuk tuks, etc. Our bungalow facing the beach was clean, spacious and very comfortable. Breakfast was average but the dinner food was top class. However it was difficult to enjoy your breakfast/dinner because of the presence of so many crows waiting of the slightest opportunity to steal from your plate. This is an issue in a number of places we have been in Kerala "

Very dusty lights and fixtures. No hot water option for shower and only 1 single thin shower towel for 2 persons. Shame! Would not recommend."

"We had a very nice stay with Jimmy, Greeta and Emiel. We felt very welcome, the family is just so friendly and is there to help you. Greeta is a good cook; she make delicious breakfast and big portions, we enjoyed that very much. The room is very clean. The beach is within walking distance and the most beautiful beach we have seen so far in India. When we are in Alleppey again we will definitely come back!"

"The accommodation was comfortable, air conditioning worked well. The outdoor bathroom was a nice touch but we had to manage the insects. Beautiful location on the beach. Staff were very helpful and kind. The main highlight of the property is direct beach access. The food was okay. The cost of all food in the menu seems to be on the higher side. The swimming pool size is okay but the maintenance of the pool is not good. Small dried leaves and insects were present in the pool. Overall the stay was okay but would suggest the management has to put some more effort in maintaining the property to attract more visitors."

"Greeta, Jimmy, and Emile are absolutely wonderful generous, kind, and friendly homestay hosts! I feel like they welcomed me into their family and couldn't do enough to make my stay comfortable. Greeta is a fantastic cook - breakfast each morning was delicious and having fresh fruit from the garden for my lunch was a dream. As was waking up to birdsong each day! The homestay is about a 10 minute walk to the beach where there are a couple of cafes and always a gorgeous sunset. My room was simple but perfectly adequate, with a lovely firm bed. If you're looking for a place to experience a more simple life, I would recommend! I feel very lucky to have met such warm, generous people."
