Tarangire Sopa Lodge

This was a lovely lodge, staff were friendly and helpful. Room was up stairs and the staff carried our bags. The bed was comfortable and the mosquito nets and beds turned down while we were at dinner. Shower was clean and the water was hot. We did not use the balcony due to mosquito's. Bar staff were attentive and the beer was cold. Food was buffet and OK for a buffet. Grounds were lovely.

Oh my goodness this lodge is absolutely stunning. The staff all amazing and bend over backwards to help you any way they can. We were lucky enough to have the staff sing to us one evening. It actually made my friend and I cry, it was so beautiful. I am an above knee amputee and use a wheelchair in the evening and overnight. They provided ramps up to the bar and dining room A special shout out to Anna in the bar. She took such good care of me the one afternoon I didn’t go on a safari drive . Motley, was amazing getting me to my room each night, down the steep hill, backwards, and smiling all the time.

Stayed for 2 nights as part of a small group tour. Our room was nice and clean. Every staff is very friendly and helpful. Love both their poolside BBQ lunch and buffet dinner served in the restaurant. Singing by the staff at guest tables was so entertaining. It's a wonderful experience.

The hotel is very well located and very comfortable. Staff was very friendly and the food was really nice. We absolutely loved the Tarangire National Park and saw hundreds of elephants, this is definitely our favorite parks with the Serengeti.

I very rarely give places a 5. Sopa Lodge Tarangire is clearly a 10. Great location in the park, large well-equipped rooms, delicious food, incredible staff and service. My whole 3 days at Sopa and Tarangire NP was a bit of a spurge for me, but was fantastic. I highly recommend. People complain about no wifi in the rooms? You are in Tarangire NP! My only issue: since Sopa does not do safaris or transportation to the lodge, they referred me to to Stephen Arwa. Arwa and I negotiated a price for my desired itinerary. I find out the day before departure that Arwa is in fact in Kenya and he has transferred the business to a Kili Beyond in Arusha. 15 minutes before departure, Kili Beyond informed me they would not honor my deal with Arwa and increased the price; I fought back, but they got a little bit more out of me. So my advice is deal with a local provider in Arusha, not Arwa or Kili Beyond.

We have previously done safaris across Kenya, South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Boswana. This time, the trip went to Tanzania, specifically Tarangire, Lake Manyara, and Ngorongoro. All were good, and Ngorongoro is a natural wonder, but our favorite park was Tarangire, which is larger, less crowded, and with multiple habitats. Part of the amazing experience was Tarangire Sopa Lodge, which is well positioned inside the national park. The rooms are spacious and really nice, and the same is true for the public areas, including the pool. The buffet-style food is good and plentiful, especially the breakfast, and everyone in our (somewhat picky) family could find something they liked. What really stood out, though, was the staff, whose combination of professionalism, helpfulness, friendliness, and good mood was exemplary. A special thanks goes to Ako, our waiter, who is a gem.

Great Servies and location in the middle of Tarangire National Park. Staff really nice and helpful. They organized a dinner for us by request as an anniversary celebration one year from our wedding, very professional and fabulous food. Ako from the staff was our waiter, great service provided and paying attention to all details. We highly recommend the resort if you are visiting Tarangire national park and want to relax after a game drive.

The Tarangire Sopa Lodge was a great start to our Tanzania Safari trip. My wife and I stayed at the hotel for 2 nights. The rooms are excellent, the beds are very comfortable, the bathrooms are very clean. The food is very tasty at the buffets along with a lot of choices. The most outstanding thing about the lodge is its staff. The staff are very friendly, welcoming and all of them have a great smile on their faces from the moment that you are welcomed into the hotel with refreshing towels and a welcome drink. The entire staff sing together during dinner every night and it truly is a treat to hear them. Our server at our table was the friendliest person in the entire hotel. She had one of the lovliest smiles in the whole world while taking care of us at our tables during our meals.

Stayed one night on a safari at this wonderful hotel. The service was exceptional and welcoming. The restaurant was great and the food tasty. The Lodge is surrounded by wilderness so don't be surprised to see the odd elephant whilst youre eating breakfast. The interior design of the lobby and dining areas are as others have said, stunning.
