Erstmal das Positive: Man wohnt sehr zentral, alles ist zu Fuß erreichbar. Von außen ist es ein wunderschönes Gebäude und die Parkmöglichkeit ist top. Das war es aber auch schon. Die Liste der negativen Eigenschaften ist lang. Die Zimmer sind aus den 80er Jahren und total verwohnt. Ich war unter dem Dach und die Hitze war unerträglich, die Klimaanlage defekt. Mit offenem Fenster konnte man wegen des Lärms nicht schlafen. Von den Flecken und der Ausdünstung des Teppichbodens will ich nicht sprechen. Der Plastikvorhang am Fenster war ausgerissen und auch die Nachtischlampe hing in Fetzen herunter. Das Badezimmer mit schmuddeligem Duschvorhang und Armaturen mit Grünspan war der reinste Horror. Habe zwei Nächte kaum schlafen können. Die Bar war ab 22 Uhr geschlossen weil scheinbar das Personal was anderes vor hatte. Zu mindestens wurde ganz ungeniert mit einem Gast an der Bar geknutscht. Fazit: Nicht empfehlenswert! Hoffentlich findet sich jemand, der das schöne Haus wieder zu neuem Glanz verhilft. Wäre schade wenn es noch mehr herunterkommt.

First off, understand that Ludwigshafen is not a happening place. I was here for business, for which I feel the place would be adequate for a day or two stay, but not the week I was here. I titled this as ”try hard”, as that's what I hear my kids call someone who is tries hard and fails, which I feel fits since the hotel tries really hard to be modern and hip. Moxy is Marriot's new brand aimed at the youth and the copies board games, lockers, random graffiti and whatnot scattered around the lobby would imply they are going that way. Considering most of the time it was filled with old businessmen like me would say they might want to consider having this in a more appropriate location. Moxy Lu is a very spartan hotel. No restaurant to speak of - on Sunday I asked if they had any lunch offerings as nothing is around there and they told me their one and only oven, used to cook breakfast, was broken and wouldn't be working for at least a few hours. There is a very solid Italian restaurant next door but you don't want to eat that every day. There's also right now a Christmas market nearby but the opening timing for it is very variable. It's also next to the Rhine mall but understand that German business hours are earlier than American so it closes early and is closed entirely on Sunday. Rooms are clearly advertised as capsule types and they are very reminiscent of Japanese capsule rooms - a bed, bathroom, a chair, and that's it. A hook on the wall and 4 hangers is all your clothes storage, a 6 inch wide, 2 foot long glass panel sticking out from the wall is your ”desk”, and that's it. No safe, no shelves, no coffee machine, nothing. Definitely not where I wanted to spend a week, but that's not their fault. The hotel is very new and is very clean overall. Also a plus that it is very quiet. I've been in hotels where I could literally hear the person walking around next door. All that said, why 3 stars? Well, as clean as it was, there was a long black hair at eye level in the shower when I first stepped in. As I'm folically challenged, I'm certain it wasn't mine. Secondly, one of the elevators broke multiple times while I was there, once trapping a person in there for 15 minutes while I was in the lobby. He eventually tumbled out, angry, scared, and half-clothed (took off some clothes as he was feeling very hot). Said elevator was not flagged as being out of order for at least an hour after as I was in and out. Eventually it was. It had an out of order sign still on it on my second day despite being in use...assumed this was an error before the guy got caught in front of me. Not good management of an issue, I feel.

La recepción fue muy amable, escuchada y nos dio dos agradables habitaciones con vistas a la ciudad (en lugar de la estación y los trenes). El hotel está muy bien situado en el centro de la ciudad, y el hotel está muy bien situado en el centro de la ciudad. Como soy alguien que usa las escaleras en lugar del ascensor para hacer algunos pasos, me gustaron los mensajes motivadores en cada piso de la escalera. Buena idea! ¡Valor global para nuestro dinero! Sigue siendo un hotel muy agradable En relación con este precio, la habitación del hotel no es pequeña, es bastante grande y amplia. El desayuno del hotel es muy recomendable, 8,9 euros todos los días, gran variedad y muy bien gestionado. La habitación está bastante limpia y la distribución del baño es razonable. La ubicación no está cerca de la estación de tren, no es demasiado fácil de encontrar, pero no está lejos de la torre de agua de Mannheim. El personal es muy acogedor.

After reading plenty of bad reviews we were concerned about our organized trip to the BUGA 23 (we had no choice of the hotel). ⭐ Location ⭐ : Mercure is right in front of the main entrance ”Luisenpark” to the BUGA 🌺🌹🌻 Perfect for us 👍 Walking to the nice Wasserturm & city centre takes around 25 minutes. Good PT options very close by (Tram 6). Check in: fast and friendly, check out also. Room: on the 4th floor, kind of worn out/abgewohnt but clean enough. Some items missing (towel, glass) , but quickly solved with front desk. Soap and shampoo ok. Restaurant: BF was ok, fresh food and enough choice. Buffet dinner for our group was good, especially the anti pasti/hors d'oeuvres buffet, which had an Italian/French touch👍 Service: restaurant&bar, very friendly and caring German waiter who served us (Bier&Weissburgunder) with a smile.... even late in the evening after we came back from the Joy Fleming musical 👍 Wifi: perfect, no problem with connection/data usage.

Beim Austritt aus dem Fahrstuhl in den Flur ist die Richtungsangabe der Zimmer um ca.1m versetzt. Im Zimmer unter der Bettdecke lag ein ca. 30cm langes Haar und unter der Clobrille befand sich ein brauner Spritzer. Am Frühstücksbuffett war der Getränke-Automat für Orangensaft nicht nutzbar, hier hätte man Orangensaft in Flaschen hinstellen können. Die Butter war so hart, daß sie nicht streichbar war. Am Besteckkasten auf dem Tisch hing rote Marmelade, die mindestens noch vom Vortag war, da wir bereits um 6.15 Uhr gefrühstückt haben.

Fantástico

QQianliangLa ubicación es muy buena, se ve la gran torre de agua. Al lado del hotel hay una impresionante pizzería a la parrilla. Había una pequeña diferencia entre la dirección de navegación y la entrada del lobby, así que la busqué por un tiempo. ¡El desayuno era bueno!

UUsuario anónimoLa ubicación no es ideal, es más lejana, se tarda 25 minutos en marchar al centro comercial y se espera que la estación de trenes llegue a 11 euros. También está lejos de las torres de agua, y las torres de agua están cerca del centro comercial. ¡El medio ambiente es muy bueno y el hotel es nuevo en general! El desayuno es bueno, muy rico, hay comida caliente, las frutas son las mejores!

Fabuloso

The staff here was very welcoming and kind throughout the stay. We arrived very early and were very tired and they worked hard to get us in our room as soon as they could. Our room was great, very large by European standards. We had a full kitchen as well which was unexpected. Nice soaking tub, blackout curtains, good linens, etc. It is a skip to the train station and convenient to stores and restaurants. HIGHLY recommend the food in general, breakfast was amazing. Dinner was even better, the menu does not do it justice. We order pasta and it was presented tableside in a huge parmesan wheel!! I forgot the great cocktails. I would go back in heartbeat, very cool decor and vibe all around.

Muy bueno

The expectation was to get a night of rest and carry on with my daily routine. To my surprise, the manager (male spoke Spanish) took the time to get to know me and the other people on my team. This gave me the trust that I was not alone and there was people that care for foreigners. The front staff was very professional and always on guard to our needs. The cleanup crew were very respectful and courteous. I would definitely bring my family to this hotel if I ever were in Germany again. In conclusion, EXCELLENCE is the banner in which they were to be described.

Muy buena ubicación. Cerca de la estación de tren y muy fácil de encontrar. El hotel está situado muy cerca del centro de la ciudad y de la Universidad de Mannheim. La habitación está limpia y es muy bonita. El desayuno es bueno. La estancia en este hotel es un placer. Quiero recomendar que visiten este hotel. Se sorprenderán gratamente.
