Nothing wrong with this place as such and whilst I appreciate it's self catering and reasonably priced a few tiny additions would make it 5 stars from me. Small things like washing up liquid and a sponge, tea towel, more than one toilet roll and maybe a hand towel as well as two bath towels would make a real difference. Other than that, immaculately clean everywhere, lovely staff, fantastic food at a good price, nice pool area, quiet and only ten minutes walk to main strip and 20 to beach.

What a lovely friendly family run hotel staff were very friendly attentive and polite. Rooms cleaned often old town on your door step walking distance. Hope to see you soon . Room 107

Newcastle Apartments enjoys a fantastic location on the edge of Malia Old Town. The property is close enough to all the restaurants, bars, and local attractions to be convenient, yet far enough away to provide a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The charming narrow streets, traditional buildings, and authentic Cretan character make it an ideal base for exploring the area with only a 25 min walk to the beach. The check-in process was straightforward, efficient, and welcoming. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel at home. The hosts were friendly, informative, and happy to answer any questions, making the start of our holiday completely stress-free. For a studio the room was spacious and well laid out, providing plenty of room to relax. Storage was excellent, with ample wardrobe and drawer space to comfortably unpack and settle in, even for a longer stay. The room felt practical, comfortable, and well designed. Cleanliness throughout the property and complex as a whole was exceptional. The apartment was spotless on arrival and maintained to a good standard throughout our stay. The only real negative was that just one toilet roll was supplied for the entire week, so we had to buy our own replacements (€3 for 12 at the local shop). Given the quality of the accommodation, it would be nice to see this included for the duration of guests’ stays. Water pressure was consistently strong, and there was always plenty of hot water available regardless of the time of day. It’s a small detail, but one that makes a big difference when staying away from home. The pool area was clean, inviting, and a great place to spend time during the day. There were always plenty of sunbeds available, and the atmosphere was relaxed and friendly. The pool bar offered a good selection of drinks, snacks and a variety of cooked food (breakfast / lunch / dinner) with excellent service that added to the overall enjoyment of the facilities. Overall, Newcastle Apartments exceeded expectations in every area. Combining an excellent location, spacious and clean accommodation, great facilities, and genuinely welcoming hosts, it provided everything needed for a relaxing and enjoyable holiday in Malia Old Town. I would happily stay here again and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

Well what can I say, perfect. The most friendly and kind family will help in any way they can.. Relaxing gardens, spotlessly clean in all areas, all you require in the rooms . Just a couple of minutes to the old town with authentic old charm and so pretty where you will get a real warm welcome . The food at the pool bar is all freshly cooked and such a good price.. beer is the best , and a fantastic choice of cocktails with a happy hour in the evenings. The strip is a short walk away with loads of clubs and bars. Just try Newcastle studios once and you will return.

It was basic but very clean and had a beautiful pool and garden area. Also very quiet and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

Lovely familyrun studios. Clean and friendly, the family always greet you with a smile. They helped me take my suitcase to my room and happily chat with guests. Nice area, 7 minutes walk to Malia Old Town, close to supermarkets and restaurants. Nice open area by the pool, drinks reasonably priced. We had a great Easter with the family; they cooked us BBQ and homemade potatoes

Spotlessly clean, friendly and efficient family owned place with relaxed atmosphere. Food and beer is good. Great value for money. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

This is a wonderful place to stay. The staff are friendly and attentive, going out of their way to make you welcome. Everything is so clean, both around the pool and in the rooms. Have the Greek omelette for breakfast- it's delicious. All the food is made with love and care. Bring dreamies for the little cats!

This hotel is one of the nicest that I have ever stayed in. Immaculately clean. Lovely pool and sunbathing areas. And the owners are already like friends. Especially George. He knows most of his guests, and sits and chats and drinks with them.
