Beach Cottage

Although it rained almost every day, our stay at the Beach Cottage made it an enjoyable time on the island of Rasdhoo. Customer service was beyond exceptional. Rooms were very small but cute. We had one of the rooms with an open shower and got to hear all of nature.. all the time. It was a little chilly to shower when it was raining!

From the minute you walk through the orante wooden front doors you can tell this was a well looked after place. All amenities were at hand including outdoor showers and foot taps. There are also sunbed/loungers in the garden area for those after a suntan without going to the nearby beach. We recieved a really warm welcome from Nxaam who went out of his way to ensure we had an enjoyable stay. It was very apparent his priority was to ensure we had a nice stay, he provided an outstanding level of service, which includes transfering all our luggage to & from the Harbour area for the Speed Boat from/to Male. We had two rooms booked both of which were very modern, each with hot water shower, plenty of towels, in fact when we arrived Nxaam quickly provided us with good quality beach towels as we simply dropped off our luggage and headed straight for the nearby ( 5- 8 minutes walk) "BikinI" beach designated for tourists. The Beach was spotless with plenty of free sun beds/loungers. Back to Beach Cottage, there was a plentyfull supply of botteled drinking water readily available. Even fridges in each room to keep it nice and chilled. If you ran out of anything there was a small supply held in the lobby you could help yourself to to replenish any water bottles or bathroom bits and pieces. The rooms were immaculately presented and comfortable. There were plenty of choices for eating out nearby and all within 5 minute walking distance. The island of 1200 population is not large and can be wlaked around in a very short time. Back to the resurants we used the Shallow Lagoon and the Lemon Drop both offering a varied menue of local, Indean, Thai and European dishes. lots of choice for any discerning customer. So a massive Thank You to Nxaam for making us feel really welcome for providing such a high standard of accommodation for such a good rate - very much great value for money. A cracking place to stay.

We spent a week in Beach Cottage. The owner is very responsive &helpful towards our requirements. Room is spotless, the cottage compound is always bright, except for the mosquitoes issues that’s rather common in all the premises in Rasdhoo, we have no complaint staying here Food recommendation are mainly at Lemon Drop, versatile & service is impeccable Location is 1min away from the shores (not bikini beach) u can enjoy the sunrise & a scenic sky with stars, anglers can be seen fishing nearby,especially on Friday-Sat…which is the weekend there

I stayed at the hotel for eight nights. I had a great time and I am happy that I chose the I stayed at the hotel for eight nights. I had a great time and I am happy that I chose the beach cottage hotel. The location is excellent, a few steps from the sea. The place itself is very pleasant. The room is relatively large. clean and tidy. Equipped with everything you need. Refrigerator, excellent and quiet air conditioner, safe, comfortable bed and new furniture with a pleasant design. very good and stable wifi. Every two rooms have a coffee corner with free coffee and tea. And each room also receives a regular supply of bottled mineral water. Every two rooms have an internal sitting area. And a landscaped patio garden for those who want to sit outside. The owner of the hotel and his assistants are always available and ready to help with whatever is required. I have no doubt that I will come again.

The greatest host ever! The place is sparkling clean, the property is amazing and the staff is the greatest ever! There was no wish of ours that they do not accomplish. On our way to Rasdhoo, I asked if we can buy something for mosquitos on the island and when we got there, we already had it in our room. They had taken care of our need even if we didn't ask for. We just asked to see where we could buy from. Also, our little niece needed a vaccine after she was scratched by a cat and the host did his best to get the vaccine and called on every pharmacy in Male, because it wasn't available on the island. Because it wasn't available on Male either, he went back to the doctor and ask for a another treatment. He also sent Amir, his employee, to the hospital to help and translate in case it was needed. They arranged for us sandbank trip, snorkelling, a tour to another island... all that we asked for. We also received entire snorkelling equipment whenever we asked for. They were so nice and friendly that we changed our plans and stayed more on Rasdhoo. The beach is beautiful too and there is shade on the beach and you can enjoy the sun and the water longer. Nizam invited us to a dinner and it was the tastiest dinner we had during our entire vacation. At the end, we also receive a gift from Nizam. We won't forget our stay there! Also, I can only say great things about Amir too. He is a great guide and he helps you with everything you need. This is a great place with great people!! Definitely I recommend them!

Best place to stay in Rashdoo! The owner Nizam helped us with everything during our stay and organised all the trips and excursions for us even in the other islands we visited (Ukulhas, Mathiveri)! The place was beachfront, the room very cleans and the staff made our stay wonderful!

Me and my girlfriend stayed here for three nights. The place was clean and comfy. The best thing was the owner, who was extraordinarily kind and helpful. He spent a lot of time talking with us, arranged activities for us (snorkeling, kayaking, night fishing) and helped us on various occasions.
