Hotel Konigshof

The hotel is rather 'quirky'. It has obviously been altered internally at some time and this may account for some unusual features like a step in the bedroom floor and a concrete(?) column at the end of the bed! That said, our room was spacious, comfortable, warm and quiet. The bathroom was small but adequate and the shower had a really good pressure. If you overlook the the little oddities and don't mind the acres of woodchip on the walls, it's a really nice hotel. Breakfast was typical of many continental hotels. The choices may have been limited, but the quality of the food was excellent. The staff are helpful and friendly, the location is good (literally across the road from the railway station) and there are a number of very good restaurants within easy walking distance. City centre, shops and cathedral are also within walking distance. I would happily recommend the hotel Koenigshof for a stay in Mainz.

The hotel was nicely located right next to the train station. So it was convenient, bit noisy though. The room was decently sized and functional. But it was outdated and smelt slightly. It had no carpet. The bare floor was quite dusty due to the construction on the hotel building right outside of my balcony which was covered by scaffolds. Looking out from the glass door at the balcony, it was quite disgusting: birds poops, construction materials, dirts…. Breakfast buffet was OK: simple, limited options. I would be happy with it if I didn’t see flies constantly flying over and hugging around breads and cold cuts on the food counter. Most staffs were nice, however there was one lady at reception who was rather rude and not welcoming.

This hotel is in an excellent location opposite the main station. On arrival it does seem that the hotel is from a bygone era but it is extremely clean. The beds were very comfortable and the heating was working properly. The shower pressure was quite low but acceptable. Breakfast was really nice with good coffee and hot bacon and eggs along with a continental breakfast. The staff members were friendly and smiling. All in all a very nice hotel and we really enjoyed our stay.

Wonderful reception lady at front desk . Very friendly and knowledgeable . Lift for upper floors . Great on-site Italian Restaurant with excellent food choices and price point . Breakfast was complete with hot and cold choices . Walked our bikes in from the front door to the front lobby and stored and locked them there. Room nice size and very clean and bright. Bathroom clean and bright . Quiet even though within 150m. of the train station .

Se iniziamo dalla location, va sottolineata subito la comodità per chi viaggia in treno o comunque deve prendere il treno per l'aeroporto o altro: l'hotel è a 50 metri dalla stazione. Ciononostante, non sembra rumoroso, non c'è traffico in quella strada. L'ambiente è migliorabile: la reception è molto vecchiotta, e all'arrivo non mi ha dato una impressione di pulizia: un brutto pavimento un po' sporco. Diamo che l'apparenza è poco curata in generale: verso le 13, in orario di pulizia delle camere, il corridoio era ingombro di lenzuola usate e bottiglie e altro, non è un buon sistema per dare una buona impressione. Veniamo a cose più sostanziali. La camera è pulita, ha poltroncina e scrivania, TV; niente frigo-bar, solo una bottiglietta di acqua in omaggio. Il wi-fi è presente ma non velocissimo. Non vi è una cassaforte. Armadio a due ante, però: due sole grucce, di plastica e a stento funzionali. Che senso ha un armadio senza grucce? Bagno con doccia, fon, non set di cortesia. Attenzione se avete bagagli pesanti o problemi di deambulazione: chiedete di non avere camere al quinto piano, perché l'ascensore raggiunge solo il quarto. La colazione a buffet ha la consueta offerta dolce/salato; manchevole però dal lato dolce, non vi sono croissant o torte o simili, solo yogurt, müssli, corn fakes. Da citare infine una disattenzione non da poco: alla reception è stato segnato un numero di camera diverso da quella assegnata, con il risultato che mi è stata consegnata al ritorno in hotel una chiave non della mia stanza, con il rischio che fosse avvenuto l'inverso con altro ospite. E' una svista, non succederà più, ma nel dubbio portate la vostra chiave con voi. Detto tutto ciò, l'hotel è comunque una scelta possibile. Da ritoccare forse un po' verso il basso il prezzo.

Knapp in einer Seitenstraße gelegen, so dass der Bahnhof direkt um die Ecke liegt, aber dennoch eine ruhige Atmosphäre herrscht. Sehr freundlicher Empfang, auf Wünsche wird sehr freundlich eingegangen. Bad, Zimmer - das ganze Hotel sehr sauber. Frühstück sehr gut. Ich komme sehr gern wieder.

Hallo. Ich war heute mit meiner Frau einkaufen. Wir sind zum frühstücken heute ins Hotel Königshof. Pro Person bezahlt man hier 10€. All in. Getränke vom Kaffee bis zum Saft, ist im Preis enthalten. Die Eier wurden frisch zubereitet. Insgesamt war alles sehr lecker. Das Personal war höflich und hilfsbereit. Vielen Dank für den schönen Morgen 🙋‍♀️🤩🥰 LG Dennis R.B
