I booked a 3 days stay at this Hostel in Madrid and payed the amount in advance to the property. When I saw the message saying the checkin was only available until 11pm, I tried messaging them, but they never replied. On the day of the flight I tried calling them 5 times. Only in the 6th attempt my call was taken and a very rude guy said he would wait until midnight. I tried contacting them again. I then sent a message saying I needed to do the checkin only in the next day - sept 17th, because I would not be able to arrive before midnight. I knew I would loose my first day and I wanted to avoid letting them wait for me since it would be impossible to arrive before midnight. They never replied, canceled my reservation with no further notice and never reimbursed me. The next day, I was on my way to the hostel, since I could not access my messages with the property. Our chat history was gone from my list of chats on ***********. The call was taken by the same rude guys who said I should deal with ***********, and hanged the phone while I was still talking to him. They took my payment, not the platform. They left me without a place to stay, they were rude, I had to book a last minute place and lost my money. Green Hostel’s (Madrid Gran Via) service is definitely terrible and people there are inflexible and rude!
