"A old fashioned British coaching inn in character. We spent one night here before flying out early morning from the airport. The room was OK but everything was old and a bit shabby but worst of all there was NO hot water for a shower - plenty of cold but when you turned up the heat the water supply just stopped - NO water :( Not acceptable in a hotel in the UK. This was after we had eaten in the restaurant. The food was Ok , generous portions but the hamburger was very plain with a lot of potatoes but not as described on the menu. The room was also quite noisy - the walls are paper thin and you can hear absolutely everything - especially annoying when we had so little time to rest (we had to be at airport at 5:30am. The staff were very nice and friendly and it seems a pity to have to write such a review but... The price seemed good but on reflection pay a little more and try somewhere else - sadly cannot recommend this at all."

The location was so rough and we got absolutely no sleep with all the parties/bars/ boy racer tracks going on outside the room! We went for dinner as the restaurant doesn’t serve anything Apart from coffee and oh my word rough area doesn’t even come close!! If your a woman on your own or two women together do not go!"

"We booked a twin bed room/chalet called "Ruby" when we arrived we were informed that this had been changed to another room with a double bed. We found the room cold, musky smelling, dirty and kitted out with worn our furniture. Advertised with "climate-control" in fact was an electric radiator that wasn't working. We left the place after 15 minutes and didn't stay the night. If you do stay be careful trying to get out of the narrow lane where the property is situated, it comes onto the A6 Bedford road which is very busy, you'll need to have you wits about you."
