Cherrywood Lodge

When selecting a B&B venue some times the experience does not match the promotional web site details. At Cherrywood Lodge we fell on our feet , all expectations exceeded in spades, a very warm welcome, a super room providing the place to lay our weary bones at the end of a busy day, and a very comfortable bed . The ensuite bathroom was a delight, finished to a high standard and loads of hot water. To start the day , breakfast served in a nicely appointed dining room , with a comprehensive menu to suit all palates, home made bread and marmalade , what more could one ask for . Oh, and omelettes to die for ! ! ! Many thanks to Ann and Ralph for making our stay in Looe so enjoyable.

I've just returned from a 7 night stay at Cherrywood Lodge and I can't sing my praises enough for this gorgeous B & B. Ralph and Annie the owners have created this gem of a place and run it between them(no mean feat!) Ralph is a wizz in the kitchen with breakfast. There are lots of options if you can't face a full english every morning! I worked my way through the menu. Annie is the hostess with the mostest! The rooms are tastefully done and absolutely immaculate. Lots of nice little touches and nothing is too much bother for Ralph and Annie. Within good walking distance from Looe centre, train station and buses. Parking included at back of property. I will definitely be returning to Cherrywood Lodge next year.

We have been back to Looe so many times now over the years, always staying at Cherrywood Lodge. We know the rooms will be immaculately clean and comfortable and that we will be given a warm welcome by Ralph and Annie. We have now stayed in all of the rooms, each decorated differently but all having a lovely, comfy bed and little extras including a welcome dish of sweeties, good selection of tea and mini fridge containing a small bottle of milk and couple of bottles of water. Ralph's breakfasts are very generous. Be sure to order from the specials board the day before as Ralph shops daily for fresh produce. The smoked salmon and caper omelette is delicious. Free on-site parking is a particular bonus for Looe. I could write praise of this B&B for ages but for a real feel, try it. You won't be disappointed.

My wife and myself have just returned from a 4 night stay at the Fantastic Cherrywood Lodge in Looe, I cannot praise the owners Ralph and Annie enough, everything about it is Quality, we have stayed in many guest houses over the years, but Cherrywood really is the best bar none, Ralph and Annie are very welcoming, and nothing is any trouble for them. The property is a 10 minute walk to Looe, has private parking, the rooms are excellent, with the usual Tv, tea and coffee, What impressed us was the other little details, like fresh milk every morning, the breakfasts are outstanding, even down to the home baked bread, not only is there the Full English, but also a Specials breakfast, which is hardly, if ever seen in guest Houses, there is ear plugs, toothpicks, quality toiletries, and much more. I would recommend this guest house for couples looking for a special experience. we would like to say a very big thank you to Ralph and Annie for making our stay that bit more special. Check the Cherrywood Lodge website, you will not be disappointed.

Absolutely outstanding, from the time we got there to when we left. The b&b was so very clean, the shower was amazing our room was lovely, homely and well looked after and had everything we required for our 5 night stay. Well, what can we say about the breakfast !!!!! Delicious, would definitely recommend the haddock and poached eggs as well as the red pepper and cheese omelette, what a chef Ralf is. No need to worry about whether you have your key or not as keypads are used, brilliant !!! The b&b is just 5 minutes from the town and the carpark is ideally situated. Anne's knowledge and personality is wonderful and uplifting, suggesting days out, walks and places to eat. This was super for us as ot was our first time in Looe. Will definitely be going again, loved it. Thanks so much Ralf and Anne you were exemplary

Great stay and very welcoming. Cherrywood Lodge has its own free parking for guests and parking in Looe is hard to come by....so this is a real bonus! Short walk to Looe shops ,pubs and restaurants. Really comfy bed, pillows and high end bedding and towels which always makes a difference when you're away. Loved the variety of homemade jams which were presented so lovely each mornings and the smoked haddock and poached eggs were 👌

What can I say the room was lovely big but cosy , Annie and Ralph were both wonderful people making our stay feel special. And the breakfast was so delicious a choice of specials as well as the usual breakfast the homemade bread was amazing we will be back such a wonderful place to stay.

What a fabulous place, Ralph and Annie provide an outstanding b&b, very clean, everything provided for you, great location, best night sleep we’ve had in a long time, breakfast was amazing great choice, brilliant specials, we just can’t fault it, and the bonus of free parking, we shall definitely return, thank you.❤️

When we arrived Ralph,one of the hosts helped us with our cases and showed us to our lovely room ,Ralph explained about the passwords for the bedroom door and gates that you put in the key pads. He explained about the timer on the shower pump as there are some inconsiderate people that will stay in the shower for more than twenty minutes using up all the hot water so that other guests are limited (god knows who would want to stay in a shower for that long unless they have excessive body odour or legs like Bigfoot). Every room has a breakfast specials menu with lots of choice (ten I think ) so we placed our order for the following morning. Our room was fully equipped with water,tea coffee next to the kettle and milk in a small fridge (ideal for keeping the cream teas or the odd bottle of vino bought in town). The en suite bathroom has all the little goodies you get in a high class hotel ,soap,shampoo,conditioner,bar of soap,cotton buds and all the trimmings. We had two bath towels and two hand towels,also three toilet rolls,plenty to last us the whole weekend stay. Our hosts were really friendly and if you asked them anything they would try their utmost to help you if they can. We have had a fabulous weekend and look forward to returning again next year
