This little hotel is really nice, it is owned by a Yao nationality family which really cares about its customers and tries to provide the best experience for their guests. They picked us up as we drove to the destination and helped with the luggage. You have to walk up a bit to get to the hotel. The rooms are clean, and so are the beds and linen. A nice view opened from our room on the 4th floor. They provide you with bottled water every day and we followed the owners advise to use tap water for making tea and coffee. Tap water is really good there! You can have meals on the premises of the hotel, or you can dine in nearby hotels. The owner’s wife can make crepes (French pancakes) for breakfast! During the last decade a French photographer had been staying at this hotel learning about the village and everyday life of the villagers. The result of this work is the photo book with fantastic photographs! The owner has their own copy, you can ask to have a look. This hotel has a story behind, very inspiring!
The hotel is conveniently located within the tourist zone of Longji Rice Terraces, so once you enter you have to pay 80 rmb/person. But you only pay once. After that you can stay as long as you need and discover all the scenic spots of Jinkeng area. We did some hiking there as well, following almost wild paths passing through bamboo forests. We really hope everyone will enjoy their stay there as much as we did! Don’t look for luxury there, look for basic things that are clean and well maintained.
