We enjoyed our stay at the InterContinental London – The O2 so much that we decided to extend our stay for another night, and we were very happy that we did.
Once again, the apartment was lovely, comfortable and spotlessly clean, with all the appliances working perfectly. We even used the oven to make a pizza, so the well-equipped kitchen was genuinely useful rather than just decorative!
A special mention again to Dilce, our wonderful housekeeper. She was exceptional. She kept our apartment beautifully clean and was always so kind and friendly. She really was a star and made our stay feel even more welcoming.
Harman at reception was also extremely helpful. On our final day, he arranged for us to leave our bags safely with the hotel after checking out, which meant we could go off and enjoy the final day of the Laver Cup without having to worry about our luggage. It was such a helpful service and very much appreciated.
There was also a lovely surprise during our stay. The hotel had discovered that I was celebrating my 60th birthday and brought me a beautiful little birthday cake. It was such a thoughtful gesture and completely unexpected. It made the occasion even more special.
The location really is fantastic, particularly if you are visiting the O2. The views are beautiful, with the river and water nearby, and there are plenty of great restaurants in the area. Being able to walk directly to the O2 through the connecting tunnel was incredibly convenient for the Laver Cup.
The hotel is certainly not the cheapest option, but for the location, the views, the comfort, the facilities and the wonderful staff, we felt it was worth it. We had such a lovely stay that we extended our booking, which probably says more than anything else!
I would definitely recommend the InterContinental London – The O2 and would happily stay here again.
