Depende de lo que esperas de un hotel. No es de nuestro gusto, preferimos un hotel más moderno, por lo que cometimos un error al elegir The Gore. Si quieres un hotel inglés del viejo mundo, ¡sería una excelente elección! Muebles muy antiguos, retratos, etc., que son preciosos, si te gustan ese tipo de cosas.

El hotel es muy práctico para el Royal Albert Hall, un concierto en el que fue el objetivo de nuestro viaje. Equipo de recepción y restaurante magníficamente amable, realmente de primera clase cada uno de ellos.
Sólo un par de fallos ligeramente irritantes en el baño (grifo del lavabo flojo y falta de tapa para el desviador de la bañera/ducha) impidieron que obtuviera una puntuación de satisfacción del 100%.

We picked The Gore, because it was close to the Royal Albert hall, for our visit to see Cirque du Soleil. The staff were friendly and professional. The room was clean, comfortable and everything we needed for our short stay. I would recommend this hotel to my family and friends.

The reason I only gave a few stars for the hotels is not the building it's self which is lovely and the staff are very nice , helpful and friendly BUT
I do not agree with all the service charges added to the bill.
Room accommodation service charge over £11 for one night what is this for I paid for a night with breakfast.
Bar service charge £4.25 for 2 x gin & tonics when I went up to the bar I was asked to sit down and the bar tender bought the menu, bought 2 drinks to the table and then when I went to the bar to pay on the bill was a bar service charge on top for the service. £4.25
Breakfast incurred another restaurant service charge
Over £5
Pre theatre meal another charge over £10
All in all I nearly paid on top of the nights charge for bed and breakfast £30 in hotel service charges
These charges should be up to the guest to pay if they want to not added to your bill without permission.
If you want to tip it's up to the individual not the hotel.
Lovely hotel the bedding was was excellent, great room but not for me when visiting London again.

Excellent hotel with lots of character, great food and very friendly, helpful and welcoming staff. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and it was good to visit London again after a long period away.

Charming property in convenient location near Hyde Park and Natural History Museum. Walking distance to trains. Doorman was welcoming and very friendly. Property is very British with quite large rooms. Reception staff helpful and friendly. Nice bar and library.

I come in and out of London for business quite a lot and I’ve always tried to find a well located,comfortable hotel, that is friendly.
Looks like I found that spot to keep coming back to.

It was fine. Fantastic location. Great colours. Nice library room. Lots of hidden extra charges. Didn’t make guests feel particularly looked after. Polite but not warm. Apart from fantastic guy who served us breakfast. Room very small. Not enough coffee sachets in room. It was perfect for proximity to museums and Royal Albert Hall, but nothing very special apart from that. Not terrible. Not great.

Absolutely stunning hotel in a very central location with plenty round it to explore. Hotel itself is an old building but tastefully updated with modern features too. The staff were so friendly too, they gave 5 stars every time!
