AMTD Dao by Dorsett Hornsey

I stayed at this hotel after going to a BTS concert in London and honestly, it was such a lovely place to come back to after a really long and tiring day. The room wasn’t huge, but the space was used so well that it never really felt cramped. I was actually surprised by how much was fitted into it, because there was a full little kitchen area with everything you could need, including a dishwasher, which I thought was such a nice touch. The whole hotel had such a nice atmosphere as well. Everything felt clean, modern and really well put together, and I loved all the little details like the lovely toiletries and soaps. Even the lift was really nice and added to the overall feel of the hotel. After being at a concert for hours and being absolutely exhausted, it was honestly so nice to come back somewhere that felt comfortable and cosy rather than just feeling like a basic hotel room. I also really appreciated having the kitchen because it meant I could have something to eat and relax without having to go back out again. The room had everything arranged in such a practical way, which made it feel much more spacious than I expected. Overall, I had such a comfortable stay and the ambience was probably one of my favourite things about the hotel. It was exactly what I needed after the concert, and I’d definitely be happy to stay here again when I’m next in London!

Great luxury, friendly staff, I do like the coffee shop who provides assistance to the hotel.

Great location, for transport, restaurants, bars and supermarkets, ideal for a relaxed weekend. Friendly staff, comfortable room with a modern clean finish, well equipped.

The hotel entrance is unclear; there are no signs or anything, and it is very hard to find. The receptionist was very unprofessional. She requested my proof of ID. After showing my UK driving license, she questioned my nationality, said that because I’m not British, I can’t use a UK driving license to prove my identity, and requested my passport. That was the first time since I came to the UK that I couldn’t use a driving license to prove my identity. They asked me to pay a £50 deposit, even though I had already paid the hotel's full fees, and refused to give me a receipt showing I had paid the deposit until I requested written confirmation. The room was clean but very small. The whole experience wasn’t worth the money I paid. I’m very unhappy with the stay and will strongly not recommend people book in.

Good hotel with helpful front desk, great view, nice vibe, air con. Needs a bit time to find the place but overall recommended.

Clean hotel. Very polite and supportive reception and room service staff
