My experience got off to a bad start because I had booked and paid for a hotel shuttle from the airport, but there was no one to fetch me and after several phone calls, I was fetched 90 minutes later. On arrival in my room, I was hungry and wanted to order room service. I asked the porter if there was a menu - no. I asked if the menu was online - no. So I just had to phone the restaurant and kind of discuss the different meals they had. Then I wanted to make tea and discovered they only had powdered milk. At this price, I dont think its unreasonable to expect real milk. Also there was a power cut so the TV did not work, but that is not their fault. On Day 2 and 3, things did improve. The staff are friendly, the room and bathroom were large, the bed was comfortable, the wifi was fine. As others have written, the set up is odd. The place was built to house visiting heads of state and their entourages in their own villas in a resort like setting, back in the 80s. Now the individual rooms in the villas are the rooms for guests. I don't think it's been renovated since the 80s. I've been to Eswatini several times, this is my least favourite hotel so far.
