Belle Vue Hotel

Called in today(11/02/2024) after doing a fairly sizeable circular walk... So we were hungry! Staff were immediately accommodating and super friendly and served us up with a really lovely roast for the 3 of us. Lovely meat and proper hearty, good value food. Beer was damn good too! I appreciate small pubs/hotels live and die by their reputation so really urge people to give this a try. You'll not be disappointed

The landlady was exceptionally lovely , nothing was too much trouble. We had the vegan Sunday Lunch, absolutely beautiful . We all appreciated the fire and all the Christmas touches, and we will certainly be back . We also had a Neuro-Diverse young man with us who was welcomed wholeheartedly. Thank you so much 😊

We went for an evening meal booked at really short notice on a Friday night. We had a party of 8. The staff were very busy but accommodated us brilliantly. Food was very good and locals seemed friendly too. Everyone enjoyed our visit. Will definitely return.

Amazing, simple room, nice staff and friendly regulars. Had an amazing time in our 2 single bed room and lovely breakfast with simple and easy breakfast card (which you fill out and give to a member of staff) and really nice food. Thank you for a lovely time.

Lovely little hotel and pub. The food was great, and very reasonably priced. The staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful, despite being rushed off their feet in the evenings. Will stay there again if we are in the area

Below is a message that sums up our stay that I sent to The Belle Vue with no response!!! My partner and I stayed with you Friday evening on the 14th April. We arrived around 7pm and we was really happy with the hospitality shown and a great meal in the bar and a couple of drinks. As you probably remember we was attending a dog show early the following morning on the Saturday and was happy you were arranging a 8am breakfast for us both. unfortunately that's where our stay became not very pleasant. The bed was not at all comfortable having a wooden board underneath where we could feel every spring and I feel not suitable for paying guests. Sleeping was always going to be difficult with two people sharing but again that was not the main problem. The problem was the floor boards above and the guests above that had little consideration for anyone else. Every bit of slight movement and noise was easily heard below giving my partner, myself and even our dog a horrendous night. We decided at 530am to give up the ghost on sleeping and pack up and head off to the show, exhausted . We tried to contact yourselves at a decent hour to inform about the breakfast to save any possible waste but to no avail. In summary we spent good money in your bar and on food and are totally happy with the quality but the room was not appropriate in my opinion. This ruined our day at the Royal Welsh Showground something we was both looking forward to very much. I do not want to have to approach *********** or start putting reviews on trip advisor about this incident but I feel maybe we should be refunded directly by your business for a horrendous hotel room stay. My advice to the Belle Vue is that the room number 12 is either sorted out or do not put people in the room above. I await your response, and if no response given, I will have no alternative than to inform *********** on this matter and request a refund through them. Dirty bathroom with no heating. Poor sound proofing; could hear conversation and snoring from people above. Dirty carpet, squeaky mattress, cold and dingy. I would not stay there again.

Hotel clean. Did good. Staff very helpful. Overall a date hotel but a pleasant stay

I had car problems and the AA could not collect me so put me up in a hotel for the night. The staff and customers could not have been more helpful and accommodating. Good food and all round service. They even contacted a local garage owner to try to help me get sorted sooner. Cannot thank them enough 😀
