"We have stayed in a number of hotels in this chain and this is certainly one of the best. Rather small rooms as expected, of course, but spotlessly clean and recently reformed with toilet separate from the shower room as in other IBs. Friendly welcome, attractive breakfast area. Almost alongside the A20, so perfect as an overnight stop, but no traffic noise problems. Big bonus is the restaurant only 50m away, not a mediocre chain as is often the case, but a quality family-run business. With a room for less than £40 equivalent in July, and a great meal, this is now on our list for future trips to the south."

"High quality furnishings, well equipped rooms, good value, very clean/new, little if any road noise. Comparable in price/ease of late cancellation to an Ibis express but much better quality and felt more personal despite not actually meeting anyone. The unusual part is checkin uses a website (not an app) to open the doors, so you are reliant on having your phone at all times. The decor is modern, high quality, great shower, bathroom. Windows had a rolling shutter which was very effective rather than a curtain. USB sockets in the room. Breakfast is a buffet 7-9am - you help yourself and put the dishes in the dishwasher. There is a pleasant lounge with free coffee/tea etc during the day, and a veranda to sit/eat outside in the summer. Location is very central - easy walk to many restaurants. No lift, so climb up three floors with several fire doors in between."

"I arrived at Les Alizes exhausted after a three and a half hour bus journey from Toulouse as my plane had been diverted there. There were a number of other people at reception. An elderly lady was attempting to pay her bill by credit card. The receptionist, who was by herself, seemed unable to operate the card machine. In fact, she had to call up someone else and then held her camera phone to the machine while he ( I suspect Monsieur Monchatre the manager) gave her instructions what to do. Unfortunately, she repeatedly got it wrong to the displeasure of the person on the line. More people arrived in reception not only to check in but to obtain the code to leave the parking area. It was complete chaos! It was totally unfair to leave someone inadequate to cope with the hotel’s clients. I tried to explain this to the manager on the phone but he ignored me. I eventually managed to check in. I asked for a ground floor room because of problems with my back. She said that my room was on that level and then promptly indicated a staircase to the basement ! I gave up at that stage and climbed downstairs. The room was adequate apart from a dirty toilet brush. The only glimmer of light was that, for the first time in my experience, the hotel was serving a minimal dinner. This was NOT a pleasant encounter!"
