The hotel is situated in a nice location which is away from the busy Lijiang old town. Our personal butler, Abby, was professional and service oriented. We wete given a free upgrade to a pool villa that has a fantastic view of the snow mountain. It was a memorable stay. Another plus was that the hotel provided a free photography session by Boujue Photography Studio, we had lots of nice photos and thanks to the great effort and the professionalism of the photographer. It is highly recommended to have your photography session during your stay there.

We booked a jet pool villa for 3 nights. The villa itself was awesome. It was spacious and comfortable. Our butler, Hellen, was very helpful. She’s always checking in with us to make sure our stay was comfortable and helped us with all our requests. Breakfast buffet had a great spread. The hotel location is great. It’s located within walking distance to Shuhe Ancient Town

Butler Alice was so kind and friendly—really went above and beyond for us! She proactively helped us switch rooms because of renovation noise (超级贴心!). The whole team was quick to respond to every request, whether it was ******* deliveries or bathroom needs. Breakfast was delicious! Every corner of the hotel is great, view from our hotel room is stunning. Location to Gu Cheng is a 20mins ride via didi. There’s free photo shooting by 3rd party in the hotel. The experience was ok.  Would stay here again. Thanks for making our trip so smooth!

Honestly the view and atmosphere you get at Banyan Lijiang is stunning! View of Yulong Mountains from both the main lobby area and room! You get your individual butler and Hellen was very responsive and check in daily on what additional assistance we required. She try her best to meet our expectations and is very friendly! Only downside facilities may be starting to get a little run down given the age of the resort, could further improve!

Great place to stay in Lijiang. It is located in Shuhe area which I very much prefer than Lijiang old town.it is of walkable distance to Shuhe old town. We got lucky and got upgraded to get to see the Mountain View of 玉龙雪山 for our three nights there. We also joined their tour package to visit 玉龙雪山 and had a great time. Part of the reason of wanting to stay at Banyan Tree is cause I want to support a home grown brand and staying there made me felt that I made a right choice to do so. The hotel has other activities during the day and it's fun to join in e.g the Naxi prayers and traditional costumes photography. The hotel grounds is full of flowers and trees too.

The Villa had a lovely view of 玉龙雪山, and a heated pool which was great. It was our wedding anniversary and the hotel kindly prepared a nice deco on the bed and also gave us a very nice cake! The hotel staff Heby added us on WeChat and was super helpful and responsive. Any problems we had, she resolved it regardless of hours. If there is one thing I’ll hope for improvement, it would be that the property itself seemed a bit dated. The Villa lock was spoilt and a padlock 🔓 was used, TV was rather old, etc. Overall we had a great 3 night stay.

We stayed at the Chong Qing banya tree location last year and we fell in love with every part of it. The Lijiang location did not disappoint. The decor is so beautiful they have a lake with a little boat in it. Service was impeccable they upgraded our rooms for free and we were able to get a villa with a hot tub for a fraction of the price. Our room also came with a free photo shoot. Highly recommended!

The courtyard in the style of Beijing's classical gardens is interesting to the Yulong Snow Mountain in the distance. In clear weather, the experience of the guest rooms will be better. Including the trees in the courtyard and the early morning birdsong, they are all part of the overall experience.

A great place to stay if you are at Lijiang. We were upgraded to a villa with a fantastic mountain view. The staff were professional and polite. In particular, I would like to commend on the staff who check us in, Ms CoCo. She has helped to make our stay pleasant and felt welcomed.

Unbelievable place - so beautiful and calm. We’re a family from California and traveled around the world and here we were amazed by the level of the service - especially from Hellen who was helping us with every single thing. I’m a picky traveler and recommend this place 10 out of 10 because of everything and mainly Hellen’s help!

Chosen to pay extra for a complex with 2 rooms and mountain view. Didn't know that only 1 room on the top floor gets the mountain view over the roof top of the row of rooms in front. 1st room assigned had to look at a shiny water drum on the roof top & asked to assign another room. Very over rated & disappointed that Banyan over promised & under deliver.

A wonderful hotel with a very picturesque atmosphere suited to the region's heritage architecture. The staff are very attentive and caring and were able to arrange all our sight-seeing and activities planned. The room we booked Mountain View Suite, which was upgraded to Pool villa for our 3night stay - overall very clean, spacious and cozy. Generally speaking, the hotel doesn't feel like its almost 20 years old, so they have done an exceptional job in maintaining it. Would highly recommend this property to anyone visiting Lijiang. The hotel is a good 30 minutes away from Lijiang Old Town, but quite close to Bai Sha and Shuhe old towns.

We stayed again at Banyan tree after a two day trip to Lugu Lake. We chose a jet pool villa. Excellent stay, service was great by Hellen Guo who will meet your request prompty by messaging her. It would be nice to update the hotel a bit, as it is a bit dated. We will definitely stay here again.

Our stay has been excellent and all hotel staffs have been extremely helpful during our stay. Hellen - she was very caring and even helped with my day tour booking since I do not have China mobile numbers.  She asked multiple times during our 2 nights stay if our stay was good and whether we need any other assistance. Kate - she was extremely helpful in scheduling spa session for my wife and very caring since my wife was not feeling well due to mountain sickness. Karen - she is an excellent massage therapist who took great care of my wife’s body conditions. Overall, we had an excellent stay.  Thanks again to all hotel staffs including the porters and drivers.
