Back again after years of absence, I know this hotel when under Swedish flag, later and as present(?), Lithuanian. Being a person who would break-away from Riga to have some Scandinavian and international food for my ditto stomach, she was an oasis for us living elsewhere in the country - know for good location in the town, near proximity yo the great beach with the fantastic sand - the restaurant Oscar, Bruno Bar and generally good rooms - Scandinavian style. Now, I must say the rooms have been lifted another notch, even, - they are nice, they have great bathrooms, an ironing board and iron for the lazy, or last-minute-departing/arriving bachelor and the tranquility as always making sleep come readily and undisturbed, well-insulated from the street. They also have an excellent, secure parking lot, so no worries for break-ins and for the late eater a great menu to select from If something was not positive it is the so called Scrambled Eggs, that are a mess"! - Fix that! Even I, an amateur of the kitchen makes a better one...the one served is just a jelly-like lump.... In Service attitude the Receptionist gets several stars, but it was the Ukrainian lady that went out of her way to help the arriving customer with great smile and generosity and we must remember that given she is a refugee of war - thus even more so that she shared her kind heart and attentiveness. Well-recruited! I will for certain come back to this great hotel and lovely city to relax and enjoy as if time had stopped and the past 25 years just were digits of history and none of time¬
