Upon arrival late at night in a rain storm we were pleasantly surprised to have a well lit overhang at entrance. Exterior was nice and well lit. Ashley was very welcoming. Tips: make sure switches at front door are on to charge devices in some outlets; make sure all lights are working. Overall our expectations were met. My opinion: at the end of the day, this is a budget type hotel that is trying to revamp itself to provide better service to guests. Sorry, not time for photos. Here are the pros and cons: Pros: - Friendly front counter staff (Ashley) - Recently renovated rooms along with windows and drapes - Recently renovated exterior - Computer for customer use near front desk. - Breakfast available, but very minimal (cereal, milk, OJ, coffee, muffins, etc.) - Good location for food and gas nearby - Very quiet, except for engine noise from trucks (no biggie, I grew up in Chicago) - Safety was not a concern for us...we felt safe. - Fridge and microwave in room (unusual for budget hotel). Cons: - Old used bed with very worn and flat pillows (bring your own pillows) - Confusing array of light switches - Bathroom light did not work - Doors were old and deadbolt did not engage - Open boxes of flooring cluttered parts of the hallway Suggestion to hotel management: replace the pillows, mattress, and doors ASAP.
