On asking when I had to vacate the room I was told that as I had a problem with my car I could leave everything I the room until it was resolved. This I really appreciated. The room was clean, bed was comfortable and there was 2 sachets of coffee and 2 of milk. Also a bottle of water. Bathroom was clean and towels were provided. Breakfast was good. "We stayed here for 4 nights. I had booked a sea view room, but they said it was upgraded to a room with a jacuzzi. While the jacuzzi was nice and relaxing, the sea view was quite limited, which was a bit disappointing. The property is located in a remote and peaceful part of the island. It has excellent internet access and a decent outdoor gym. Since it is right by the sea, you can enjoy walking or running along the coast to the nearest town, Mavrikianon. One important thing to mention is that the property does not have direct access to the sea. To swim, you need to go to either Plaka Beach, which requires a minimum spend of €40 per person to use the sunbeds, or to Mavrikianon Beach, which is much more affordable at €5 per person for the entire day. Mavrikianon Beach is very pleasant and close to markets where you can buy drinks. There are also some good food and drink spots nearby, such as Rudi’s Bar, a British-style pub, and Porto Rino, which serves great pizzas. Make sure to skip Nico’s Fish Tavern and try the Ferryman instead — you won’t regret it. What we found most frustrating was the lack of mosquito screens on the windows. Sleeping with the windows open was not really an option, even though the natural breeze was wonderful. Our room had air conditioning, but we tend to get sick sleeping with it on. There was a ceiling fan as well, but it is a shame to miss out on the fresh air simply because of a missing screen. The breakfast was also a disappointment. There were very few options, the coffee was not good, and the omelettes were overcooked. The most inconvenient part of our stay was the parking system. You have to check in and out with security every time, which felt excessive and time-consuming. It gave the impression of entering a high-security zone, not a relaxing holiday resort. Overall, it was a good experience with some nice features, but for the price, it lacks comfort and convenience in a few key areas. ."

I appreciate the home-felt approach of the stuff with everything we needed. "We had a fantastic time as this hotel. I booked the holiday for myself and my parents as a well deserved get away after some difficult times. From the day we arrived to the day we left the staff at the hotel were friendly, helpful and caring. Haris greeted us showed us to our room she was so warm and welcoming. Our room was fanatics (maisonette with private pool) the room was spotless with plenty of space. My parents took the upstairs while I slept on the sofa bed. After my first night the bed was slightly uncomfortable we mentioned this to housekeeping and the mattress was later replaced ! The shower is fantastic with amazing shower products. There’s a mini fridge, kettle, coffee machine, plenty of wardrobe space and a large mirror in the room. There is a shop next door where we went to get drinks and snacks as well as souvenirs, everything is in walking distance. The beach (Boufos beach) is a 5 minute walk the path isn’t sign posted but follow your phone map and you will be able to see the “path”. We didn’t have dinner at the restaurant instead we went out each night. We tried to eat at Amelia Taverna as Thursday is Greek night but you will need to book prior. Instead we eat at Mike Place a lovey family run restaurant who grow/farm most of their food. We also eat at Kyma, Ormos Cafe and Stam Stam for the best “takeaway”. There are plenty of places all reasonably priced near the harbour. On the Sunday we headed to Juniper Bar to watch the F1 the cocktails were great with super fast service. Breakfast at the hotel was good with a variety of pastries, breads and cereals as well as cold meats and cheese . There’s a variety of egg options, ‘bacon’ and ‘sausages’,beans on the hot station.There is a omelette station which my parents used most morning for fresh made omelettes. Yeta and Xristos were lovely remembering how we liked our tea and were always happy to stop for a quick chat. There was a slight issue with our AC but was quickly fixed. The last night Sissi experienced a power cut (not usual for the area) however the hotel had generators and everything was back up and running shortly. Every time we walked past a member of staff instead or outside the hotel we were always greeted with a ‘Kalimera’ or an enjoy your day they truly made us feel welcome. My mum spoke to a lovely lady Maria who wanted to know how our holiday was. Maria consoled my mum (how was been going though a hard time) and kept her company while my dad and I went out for a drink. Yeta, Konstantina, Sakis, Gabriel, Yannis, Xristos, Haris (and all the staff and housekeeping) Thank you ! The hotel has a great calming feel and there were activities/shows most evening either at the hotel or across the road at the sister hotels. As we had our own pool we didn’t spent much time as the shared pool but the loungers were comfortable with lots of umbrellas. Pequeños detalles que podrías pasar por alto en un hotel de cuatro estrellas se vuelven mucho más notables cuando pagas y esperas una experiencia de cinco estrellas. A continuación, mi relato de nuestra estancia en el Elounda Bay Palace. Llegada y primeras impresiones Reservamos una estancia de 10 noches con media pensión a partir del 10 de septiembre de 2025. Desafortunadamente, nuestro vuelo de TUI salió del Reino Unido tarde por la noche, lo que significa que incluso con un traslado privado no llegamos al hotel hasta las 2:30 del domingo 11 de septiembre. Después de un viaje estresante, no ayudado por un taxista demasiado entusiasta, llegamos agotados. El portero nocturno nos recibió cálidamente y nos condujo a la recepción, donde todo estaba tranquilo y silencioso. La recepcionista nocturna, notando nuestro cansancio, nos entregó un sobre marcado como registro exprés y nos explicó que podíamos hacer más preguntas por la mañana. Al igual que la habitación, estaba anticuado, pero los artículos de tocador se reponían a diario, las toallas eran suaves y frescas, y agradecimos el suministro regular de toallas limpias para el baño y la piscina. Había demasiados muebles amontonados en un espacio relativamente pequeño, dejando poco espacio para el equipaje. El espacio de almacenamiento del armario era insuficiente; las puertas no cerraban bien y la luz interior permanecía encendida obstinadamente al apagar el interruptor."

"We had a good holiday overall and made some lovely family memories, but I don’t think this hotel quite lives up to its 4-star rating, particularly when compared with other 4-star all-inclusive resorts we’ve stayed at. To start with the positives, we really appreciated the hotel moving us to a different room after we raised our concerns. The management listened and did what they could to improve our stay, and we’re genuinely grateful for that. Our original apartment was very dated, with old dark furniture, a tired-looking bathroom, poor Wi-Fi and no air conditioning in the lounge where our family member was sleeping. It didn’t match the impression we’d been given online and was a disappointing start to the holiday. The food was always perfectly edible, and we never struggled to find something to eat, but the selection was quite basic and repetitive. We’ve stayed at several other all-inclusive hotels where there was much more variety, particularly at dinner, and a greater choice of fresh dishes. One thing we also noticed was the lack of service in the restaurant. We appreciate that buffet restaurants work differently to table service, but at other all-inclusive resorts we’ve at least been greeted on arrival, shown to a table or welcomed with a simple “good morning”. Here, it often felt like you simply walked in, found your own table and that was it. The staff worked hard, but the overall atmosphere felt less welcoming than we’d expected. The entertainment was a bit mixed. The Greek dancing night was excellent and one of the highlights of the holiday, and the aqua gym sessions were great fun too. However, outside of those, there often wasn’t much happening around the pool during the day. We would have liked to see more organised activities and entertainment for both adults and children, as there were long periods where very little was going on. Some evening entertainment also felt a little overhyped compared with what was actually provided. That said, the resort itself has some positives. The pools are nice, the views are beautiful, and the location is great for visiting Elounda and Agios Nikolaos. Overall, I’d describe the hotel as perfectly fine rather than exceptional. We enjoyed our holiday, but if you’re expecting the standard of a typical 4-star all-inclusive resort, you may find it falls a little short in terms of accommodation, food variety, cleanliness, atmosphere and overall attention to detail. With some investment and improvements, it could be a much stronger hotel."

"Angela Suites is in an ideal location to enjoy all the local restaurants and cocktail bars in Sissi. The hotel is extremely clean and the staff are so friendly and welcoming. We didn't have an evening meal in the restaurant but lunchtime drinks and food was good and reasonably priced. I found the breakfast very repetitive, the fresh fruit salad never varied, I never saw a grape, apple or any berries in 14 days. There was the usual self service hot food section, toast, croissants, greek yoghurt but no cooked to order egg station. Other guests were permitted to smoke on the edge of the breakfast area and of course, smoke travels! It was the same round the pool. As far as the hotel, I believe the only reason it is classed as 5* is because of the onsite spa and gym. The communal areas were 4* at best and our Junior suite room with balcony was more a 3/3.5*. The bath area is very dated with a shower over the bath and a shower curtain. I can't remember the last time I saw one of those! The bed is memory foam and comfortable and our sheets were changed every couple of days. Although the towels were thin, they were nice and white and changed daily. Because this is classed as a 5* hotel, the daily tax is €15. The hotel also has an apartment block, steps away and the guests are able to use all the facilities of the hotel, the tax for the apartments is only €2 daily. I have given this a 4 out of 5, but my true rating would be 3.5 out of 5. We did enjoy our stay in Sissi, it is a very pretty town but unfortunately I probably would not return to Angela Suites."
