UUsuario anónimoThe price is very affordable for what is offered. The bedrooms are spacious, and reception welcomed us warmly with thoughtful snacks and drinks, which made us feel right at home. The only small downside was that the air-conditioning wasn’t very cold—perhaps due to the winter season—but overall, it was still well worth the price. A comfortable stay with great value, and we truly enjoyed.

SSylvaine ChanGenerally great experience, but a few things that deduct points: parking slot is limited and there was once i stepped on a pot hole full of water when i get off the car, luckily didn't hurt myself but did get wet. The women synthetic hot spring outdoor pool was closed for maintenance and there are only 2 pools left, so choices are limited. Once met a staff walking on the corridor but there was no greeting which was a bit out of place in Japan. But overall room is clean and spacious, new furnishings and fitting, breakfast was great with good quality food and selection.

UUsuario invitado10/10 all around incredible place to stay when visiting Furano and Biei. The staff are incredibly friendly and service always comes first here it’s apparent. Nice to have an onsen, super relaxing to come back to. Laundry is convenient to have on-site. The hotel is in a great location, two parking lots if you drive. The rooms and bathroom are larger than your typical Japan city accommodation. They graciously offer complimentary afternoon tea, speciality coffee with snacks, coffee and local wine tasting. When I come back I’ll be staying here again. Thank you so much. Absolutely wonderful stay.

BBryan WangGood location with very new facility. The rooms are clean. It will be fantastic if there are bath tubs. I guess the skiers will like them even more.
Overall very quite place in low season (right before the ski season starts).
Good value for money at this time.
PS. We are the only unit occupied for the entire building during our stay. Haha ...

UUsuario invitadoPerfect location for skiers - a two minute walk across the carpark and you're at the gondola/chairlift base station. The hotel also has a bus stop outside which is helpful to get to the JR station or into town, although buses are pretty infrequent. There are some dining options nearby, and a convenience store about 10-15 min walk away. The hotel sells discounted lift tickets (which you need to exchange at the ticket booth for a real ticket).
The hotel has an eclectic older style charm. The ”owl” branding throughout was cute, and there's a nice lounge where non-skiers can relax with lots of reading material (most in Japanese). Free snacks and drinks each afternoon in the lobby are a nice touch. The onsite indoor and outdoor onsens are relaxing. There's a laundry with coin operated washer dryers, which is handy.
Breakfasts were decent, although some dishes were a bit sweet for our taste, and there was very little variation from day to day, which is an issue for a ski resort where guests typically stay for multiple days. Staff allocate you to a table (different each day), a system which works pretty well and avoids having to hunt for a table at busy times.
Some procedures seem a bit overcomplicated - checkin involved our name being taken, then being called 10 min later and guided through a self-checkin touchscreen system which wasn't super reliable at reading passports. Also you need to specify your breakfast time each day and then come back and get a ticket later, which seems overcomplicated - better to just let you specify a default time on checkin with the option to vary manually if desired. However staff throughout the hotel are polite and helpful.
The room we had was spacious with a view over the ski field. The bathroom was a modular unit - clean but a bit dated and with an awkward step up to get in.
Beds were made up in a rather strange way - rather than a having a fitted bottom sheet, there was a thin mat laid on top of the mattress. If you move around at all while sleeping this mat ends up a lumpy mess and you often find yourself sleeping partially on the bare mattress.

UUsuario invitadoVery good ski and out hotel. Slope is just right beside and rental and equipment lockers are just in the basement of the hotel.
Room is spacious. But do note that in winter, only centralise heater for the room, no aircon. Room was too hot, even after opening the window, had to request a fan.
Onsen bath is good.
Food choices are a little limited if your hotel package doesn't include breakfast and dinner, its cost quite abit. There isn't any nearby restaurants to eat. Nearest supermarket and town area is a 10mins bus ride but the limited time slot bus. [I went in April, its spring season so they cut down alot of bus timing.]
At the lobby, theres a shop like a combination of mini mart and souvenirs shop. There's many things to look at in there.

UUsuario invitadoI stayed 5 nights in July 2025, and I am fully satisfied and would totally recommend the hostel.
The hostel is located in a peaceful area, you can get there by bus from the airport or from Furano Station. The hostel provides slippers, a towel, a toothbrush, a hair brush, and earplugs. You will find shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel in the showers. The bunk beds are spacious enough for a tall person (I'm 170 and had lots of space left), have and entrance with a curtain that totally covers from the light outside if you need to go to bed early, and you can charge your phone inside. I met many nice people, both Japanese and foreigners, the hostel is very international, we had some convenience store food for dinner/breakfast in the common room and shared our travel plans and recommendations for the local area. I was advised to go to Biei Tourism Information to book a half a day tour, which can be booked on the day there, and includes all the sightseeing spots around Biei, so you don't have to worry about how to get to these famous tourist spots. Also, I was advised to rent a bicycle (the 2nd one from the station is only 2000yen for a day) and where to go around Furano, so I'm really happy the hostel provides a common area for us to help each other, and to never feel alone there. All in all, I'll be back in the winter season and for lavender season again. Thank you for having me.
