El desayuno estuvo muy bien y las zonas comunes eran cómodas y estaban bien cuidadas, a pesar de que el edificio es relativamente pequeño. La distribución y el diseño interior aprovechan al máximo el espacio, algo que agradecí. La ubicación también es excelente, a pocos pasos de la estación de tren principal. PPeace HEl servicio fue impecable: pedí una plancha y una tabla de planchar y me las trajeron en pocos minutos. El personal me indicó con paciencia los restaurantes cercanos para disfrutar del desayuno tradicional *********, y el lugar resultó ser muy agradable. Las instalaciones estaban limpias y bien gestionadas.

BBenedict TTYAnother return trip for short business trip to this lovely hotel. Centrally located very near to the Sandou shopping street. All facilities are available in nearby shops. The room rates includes free breakfast and 24 hours free snacks and ice cream in the hotel lounge. Room is comfortable and equipped with all the basic necessities. I really love the shower with strong pressure and special shower heads. Will positively recommend this hotel to all travellers

The hotel itself is clean you can leave the luggage before your check in. I like the common area next to the reception. It's nice and having snack and drink for Hotel guest. Quite impressive. DDing AlexFacilities of hotel near top niche conditions, probably due to recent renovation or opening. Room is spacious for two. Services of front desk are helpful. Even took time trying to help our cell phone connection issues. Breakfast, although vegetarian only, is tasty and offered a wide variety of choices. Disappointed is about the noises caused by unruly neigbouring guests late at night.

During our trip to Kaohsiung, we decided to stay at PAPO’A Harbor Hotel, and it turned out to be a great choice for exploring the creative harbor district of the city.
The hotel is located just a short walk from Pier-2 Art Center, one of the most vibrant and artistic areas in Kaohsiung. The neighborhood is filled with street art, converted warehouses, cafés, and galleries, making it a perfect place to wander around both during the day and in the evening. Being able to walk back to the hotel after exploring the area was a big plus.
One of the things that makes PAPO’A Harbor Hotel unique is its character. The building used to be a harbor staff dormitory and has been thoughtfully renovated into a boutique hotel. The design blends industrial elements with modern minimal touches, giving the space a calm and slightly artistic atmosphere that fits perfectly with the surrounding Pier-2 district.
Our room was simple but very comfortable. The bed was cozy, the room was clean, and everything felt well maintained. While the hotel focuses more on design and location than luxury facilities, it provides everything you need for a pleasant stay. Some rooms even offer partial views of the harbor, which adds to the experience of staying in this port city.
Another great advantage is transportation. The Light Rail stop is only a few minutes away, making it easy to reach other parts of Kaohsiung such as Love River, Central Park, or connect to the MRT system.
Overall, PAPO’A Harbor Hotel is a lovely boutique stay for travelers who appreciate design, convenience, and a relaxed harbor atmosphere. It may not be a large luxury hotel, but its charm, location, and unique character make it a memorable place to stay in Kaohsiung.

Lo que me gusta es que ponen una mesa de café y una silla de regalo junto a la ventana, lo que hace que sea muy agradable hacer alguna lectura durante el día. El camino a la estación era claro y tenía una variedad de tiendas locales para explorar.

CCrabisgood888Overall the hotel was very nice. It was modern. The check in staff was very helpful and at least one person on staff always spoke English. Note that the staff at breakfast were super cute older ladies and they don't speak English.
Pros: Modern design. Newer hotel. Large beds (stayed in a standard quad room). The twin bed rooms were also bigger and nice. The shower was really great. It was super high pressure. Bidet for the toilet. Big bathrooms. You can turn on the vent and dry clothes that you hang to dry. The 13th floor area is nice with snacks through the afternoon and evening and coffee. They provide free sparkling water and regular water for the rooms. Very well designed with great storage since there wasn't much floor space.
Cons: Location wasn't really next to many food areas. There's a Starbucks. You have to walk around 5-10 min, which is fine, but it's not the usual vibes you would imagine having in Taiwan. Unlike Taipei, the city is a sleepy town. A lot of businesses are just randomly closed during work hours and regular business days. There is a 7-11. The night market nearby is small. The breakfast needs a little help. After 2 days, it's the same food over and over. We were there for 7nights, so you can imagine it was a bit tiresome. I hope they can provide more variety. Even the soup only changed once. So 6 breakfasts it was miso soup. 1 breakfast was a corn soup (good, but never came back). Another major con is the hotel has no direct email address, so you can't contact them directly. I had to speak with the Leisure group hotels via FB messenger. They never responded via the Line App.
We chose this hotel because it's newer and had the room arrangements that we needed for our group (12 rooms). Big buses can wait outside for you. You can't make much noise in this hotel. We got warnings every day and that was just when we were hanging out in the lobby waiting for the elevator.
Overall the hotel was good value and great for a soccer team since we had the 13th floor for our team meetings and for hanging out at night.
