NNguyen Do Nha UyenAfter coming back from Taiwan, I suddenly realized I hadn’t posted any photos or written a review about the adorable wooden cabin our family stayed in at Jiufen. Everyone in my family loved this place so much that I had to jot everything down now that I finally have some free time.
Most people I know usually stay in Taipei longer and just make a day trip to Jiufen without spending the night. As for me—I’ve lived in Hong Kong for quite a while, so compared to Hong Kong, Taipei didn’t leave much of an impression on me in terms of sights or food. The only thing that truly made me want to visit Taiwan was Jiufen — a sparkling little gem between the mountains and the sea 🏮🌿🌊
Jiufen feels like a dreamy fairytale village with its winding narrow alleys, steep stone stairways, and the warm glow of red lanterns everywhere. Walking around felt like stepping into another world, almost like a scene from a manga — especially for anyone who’s watched Spirited Away.

⭐🛖 Review of the wooden cabin called Twilight Forest in Jiufen
Just a 5-minute walk from the Old town, this wooden cabin brings together the warm glow of wood and the peaceful feeling of retreating into nature. It has a unique A-frame design, and at night, when the lights turn on, the whole place becomes incredibly cozy — the golden light shining through the windows and the plants around it create a “hideaway from the world” kind of vibe.
Inside, the space is open, airy, and tastefully decorated in a rustic style. There’s a small terrace with a swing chair hanging straight from the ceiling — sitting there at night, listening to insects and the wind rustling through the leaves, feels genuinely healing 🙃.
🛁🌿 Highlight: The glass-walled bathroom in the garden
This is the standout feature of the cabin. The bathtub is large and comfortable, placed right next to a 180° glass wall looking directly into a lush green garden. Natural daylight pours in, making your daytime bath feel like an outdoor spa surrounded by plants. (There’s also a roller blind if you need privacy)
Jiufen is a tiny village perched on a mountain, and it doesn’t have many hotels that offer spacious, comfortable accommodations. That’s why I was so happy to find this wooden cabin. Our family had the most wonderful two-night stay here.
If I ever return to Taipei, I would definitely book this place again ❤️

YYanapat W. CivilizeI had visited Jiufen, Taiwan once before, but this second trip truly exceeded expectations. The view, the atmosphere, the service, and the host’s attention to detail were all absolutely outstanding.
The scenery from the accommodation was breathtaking — truly a million-dollar view! The room itself was spacious, almost like staying in an entire house. The price per person came out to just a little over 1,100 THB, but what we received was far more valuable than what we paid.
The host was incredibly kind and thoughtful, offering us detailed travel suggestions and making us feel as if we were staying at a friend’s home. What touched us the most was that, on the day we left, the host even rode a motorbike to personally drop us off at the bus stop.
It’s the little acts of kindness like that that make a place unforgettable.

我之前曾經去過一次台灣九份，但這次的第二趟旅程真的超出期待。無論是風景、氛圍、服務，還是房東的細心程度，通通都令人驚艷。
房間的景色美得像一幅畫，簡直是百萬級的風景！房間非常寬敞，感覺就像住在一整棟房子裡。每人換算成台幣約一千一百元左右，但實際收到的體驗與照顧遠遠超值。
房東非常親切又貼心，不但詳細介紹當地景點，還讓我們感覺像是住在朋友家一樣溫暖。最讓人感動的是，離開當天他還特地騎摩托車送我們到公車站。
正是這些微小卻真誠的舉動，讓這段旅程更加難以忘懷。

ผมเคยไป Jiufen (จิ่วเฟิ่น) ไต้หวันมาแล้วรอบหนึ่ง แต่มาทริปรอบที่สองนี้ต้องบอกเลยว่า ทั้งวิว บรรยากาศ การบริการ และความใส่ใจของเจ้าของที่พัก คือสุดยอดจริง ๆ วิวจากที่พักคือหลักล้าน! ห้องพักว้างขวางมาก รู้สึกเหมือนอยู่ในบ้านทั้งหลังเลย ราคาต่อคนเมื่อเทียบเป็นเงินไทยตกประมาณ 1,100 บาทนิด ๆ เท่านั้น แต่สิ่งที่ได้รับกลับมากกว่าราคาเยอะมาก
เจ้าของที่พักน่ารัก ใส่ใจ ช่วยแนะนำสถานที่เที่ยวอย่างละเอียด ทำให้เรารู้สึกอบอุ่นเหมือนอยู่บ้านเพื่อน และตอนวันกลับ เขายังอาสา ขี่มอเตอร์ไซค์ไปส่งเราถึงป้ายรถเมล์ด้วยตัวเอง เป็นความใส่ใจเล็ก ๆ ที่น่ารักและน่าประทับใจมากจริง ๆ

GGuest UserSiempre me encanta alojarme en la zona de Banqiao. El hotel es limpio y espacioso. Hay un onsen en la planta superior. Lo único es que no tenían báscula. Quería pesar mi equipaje y rehacerlo un poco antes de ir al aeropuerto.

The reception staff is not friendly, not helpful, little English.
Self check in (screen like order MCDONALD haha), where they have staff on side.

UUsuario invitadoHad a wonderful experience staying at the Yun Hotel with my kids. This was probably one of my most relaxing staycations as we stayed in the Water Room with the hot spring and sizable living room.
The front desk had an English speak gentlemen that took care of our check in, and described all the things we could do at the hotel. This place is very kid friendly with a dedicated play room on the second floor, and a mini race track with high end electric cars for the kids to drive. There's also a snacks, arts n crafts, and a movie theatre all on the ground floor. The people staffing all these venues were all very helpful and professional.
Our morning breakfast was delivered on time and so delicious. There was so much food, 3 people could not finish the 2 sets. Can't wait to visit again during the next holiday!

BBabypinkalisticFuss free easy check in through the car park drive thru guard post. Accommodating with our side by side room request and extended one hour early check-in grace for our family with young children. Thank you Hub Hotel Xintai as this made it easy for me to quickly wind down my over tired children from the long car ride. The convenience of not having to take down our heavy luggage from the car saved us time, energy and provided so much convenience. Room was very clean, spacious and newly renovated. Bathtub was a nice have for my young children and we actually liked that the shower pressure was kept moderate to prevent water ponding and allow for a comfortable shower. TV was big and my children could watch some movies and YouTube channels which kept them occupied whilst I re-pack our luggage for departure just outside our room and right by our car. Highly recommend their room with garage if you are driving! It’s such a rare find in New Taipei City area with affordable accommodation pricing. Clean, convenient, spacious, comes with your own door step carpark and free flow snacks and ice cream! Sit in the car and check-in with sleepyhead children was so convenient and fuss free.

UUsuario invitadoThe hotel is big and has good amenities. The only thing missing is a microwave. It was clean in general, but the windows were stained and the balcony was dirty.
The location is excellent as it's across from the train station and there's a mall there. The mall is new and has several nice restaurants. There are also many small eateries, a supermarket and a seven eleven nearby.
After checking out, we had several hours to spare before our flight. We hung around for an hour or so outside the conference room area which was not in use at that time. A staff came over and rudely told us we can't be there. She thought we had come from outside to use their facilities whereas we had been guests in the hotel for 6 days.

台台中阿源El personal de recepción del servicio es muy amable. No hay comida allí para cenar. El equipo es más viejo. El desayuno del día siguiente está disponible, pero no hay comida especial para el día. El día es comer chips, huevos de agua, salchichas, aire no es bueno
