UUsuario invitadoMy first review on Trip and I don't usually bother to write reviews - shows you how much the hotel impressed me. We stayed for 1 night in Capella Sydney as a family of 3.
The hotel facilities were absolutely amazing, decor was gorgeous and food options at Aperture and Brasserie were awesome. However, I won't dwell on these too much as I'm sure when you booked into a Capella brand hotel, you will already assume this as a given right? One highlight in terms of facilities though, was The Living Room, which is assessible to all guests staying in the hotel. It had beverages, snacks, comfy sofas and 6 star service. We spent so much time there chilling with our son and in the end it really became ”our living room”.
Enough of that, let me move on to the service which blew our minds. I'll give you a few examples and hopefully you can see why I feel it would be criminal for me not to write a review.
1. On arrival when we got out of our car and the porters were helping us with our luggage, somehow they addressed me by name. Maybe it's because they saw I had a 2 year old and I was the only guest checking in that day with a small child. Still, I was super impressed. I've only experienced this previously at Aman hotels.
2. Upon checking in, Sophie (I hope I got your name right!) was super helpful and cheerful. When she saw my young son, she also proactively asked if we needed a later check out and if our son needed to nap. She immediately offered to give us 2pm late check out. However, having told her our son actually takes his nap at 2pm, she told us to come back and check with the front desk the next day and they can extend it till 4pm. Remember, I didn't request this, she did this completely out of her own initiative.
3. We didn't book dinner and Sophie referred us to Madiha of the Cultural team. Madiha took note of all our requirements, including the need for the restaurant to be 2 year old friendly, and within 15 mins emailed me a full list of restaurants and their menus for me to choose from while she also served us drinks and snacks at the living room. We eventually picked an Italian restaurant and she made the reservation for us. Fyi, it was scrumptious.
4. After breakfast, we were walking around the lobby and my son walked past the cakeshop and saw a raspberry tart. He really wanted it but I told him we just had breakfast. Ton (?)(I hope I got your name right, the Thai gentleman with a love for cars), the manager came up and said ”you can have the tart for free! It's on the house!”. I was stunned. He also spent so much time talking to my son and showing him pictures of cars, unbelievable.
Shout out also to Matthew (uncle Hao Jun) for being so warm and hospitable to us. Honestly we were feeling so sad leaving the hotel as everyone felt like friends and family to us. One thing is for sure though, we will be back. Absolutely flawless service, kudos to the Capella Sydney team!

Fully equipped kitchen letting us buy groceries from nearby supermarkets to taste Aussie food.
Daily rate is way lower than CBD hotels but location is very convenient.

Es un dormitorio estándar.
Está a unos 20 minutos en tren del aeropuerto de Sídney.
También está a unos 20 minutos en tren de la Ópera.
Está justo al lado de la Estación Central, así que la ubicación es excelente.
Reservé un dormitorio solo para mujeres, pero al llegar a mi habitación había un hombre.
La recepción tardó bastante en cambiarme de habitación, y no entiendo por qué.
Solicité una litera inferior con antelación porque me dolían los pies, pero parece que lo ignoraron y simplemente asignaron las camas por orden de llegada.
Asignan las camas según el orden de llegada. (Como llegué tarde, me tocó la litera superior).
El baño y la ducha requieren llave, así que la seguridad es bastante estricta. (El piso es para hombres.)
No hay toallas, cepillos de dientes ni champú.
Hay dos sábanas dobladas en la cama.
Tienes que extenderlas tú mismo.
Las fundas de almohada están incluidas.
El futón era deforme, pero extrañamente cómodo.
Hay un enchufe y una luz muy brillante junto a la almohada.
Las luces estaban encendidas en las demás habitaciones, pero por alguna razón, la mía estaba completamente a oscuras (aunque las luces estaban encendidas). Todos usaban sus teléfonos u otros dispositivos para iluminar la habitación mientras se preparaban para ducharse o organizaban su equipaje (no sé por qué).
Parece que también hay una cocina, zonas comunes y una piscina.
No tenía mucho tiempo, así que solo fui a recepción y a mi habitación, así que no lo sé.
Podría ser divertido si eres una persona joven, alegre, que hable inglés y sea proactiva.

UUsuario invitadoLa habitación tiene una ventana de piso a techo que ofrece una vista panorámica del puente del puerto que nunca olvidaré. El baño, con tubo de sofoco profundo y TV integrada, se siente como un spa privado.Sin embargo, se prepara para los ”add-ons”. El desayuno en Epicurean es fantástico pero barato, y el estacionamiento de valet es un coste adicional considerable. Si quieres sentirte como una celebridad para un fin de semana (y tener el presupuesto), vale la pena, pero mantenga un ojo abierto por sus ofertas de estancia 3-for-2.

UUsuario invitadoWe booked W sydney months in advance with breakfast included and is worth it . Food choices are plenty during breakfast and can order different eggs style and cooking preparation during breakfast and can order different hot or cooled selection of drinks as well. Hotel is clean and location is near china town ,paddys market , and harbour easily accessible to townhall in a walkable distance of 7-10 mins away. There is a fireworks show on saturday night that lasted 5-7minutes.. There are lots of restaurants around the area and ice cream shops as well . There is even a park at the back of the hotel and a playground for kids. I highly recommend this hotel. There is 2 pool in the hotel at 22nd floor and 29th floor . The hotel is beside Imax cinema .

UUsuario anónimoNuestra estancia en el YEHS Hotel de York Street tuvo aspectos positivos y negativos. La ubicación es fantástica, muy céntrica y cerca de todo, lo que la hace conveniente para explorar el CBD de Sídney. El personal fue amable y servicial, y las comodidades básicas proporcionadas fueron suficientes. Sin embargo, la decoración está pasada de moda y la habitación era pequeña y estrecha. La limpieza general también fue una gran decepción. El baño tenía olor a cloaca, la ducha no estaba limpia, había algunos azulejos rotos y la habitación en sí estaba sucia. A pesar de la excelente ubicación y el personal servicial, los problemas de limpieza y mantenimiento afectaron significativamente nuestra estadía.

UUsuario invitadoBreakfast was excellent but the room we had on level one was not good. It had steps going down to the bed. As you went into the room the bathroom was on the left tea making on the right then steps down to bed area with TV and lounge to sit on. Not good for us with mobility issue in our late seventies . Had to go up the steps to make tea or use the bathroom. Management explained the room was recently renovated and yes we could tell that but didn’t even have a window to look out. It was so high up in the wall. He said that was the only room available for what I had booked. I have stayed there before and had a lovely room so very disappointed this time.

La ubicación del hotel también es muy buena para acceder a muchos lugares turísticos importantes de Sídney. El único problema es el alto precio de la habitación. Espero que lo mejoren más adelante.

PpornphunWe had a brilliant experience at the Langham for our wedding anniversary! I forgot how much I like the Langham brand. From the pink ribbon around the toilet paper to the sleep ammenities (we asked for the sleep pillow mist and the room diffuser) to the suggested third eye massage technique and the chamomile tea before bedtime, we felt totally pampered and taken care of. Reservation was made for our celebratory dinner with fine steak dinner over the fantastic view of the Opera House. In room breakfast was delivered on time and the quantity copious. The Spanish bell boy was helpful and friendly. We were also upgraded to a harbour view room to our delight. Location was convenient to walk either to Barangaroo or the Rocks, for ferry ride or metro. Very pleased to have chosen The Langham, it was absolutely the right decision for us!

Das Hotel befindet sich über dem Pub, der auch ab nachmittags sehr gut besucht ist.
Es gibt dort sonntags auch Livemusik bis ca 21 Uhr abends.
Alles vollkommen in Ordnung, wenn man nicht gerade Zimmer 10 neben der Waschmaschine/Trockner hat und neben der Lüftung schläft. Auch wenn ab 21 Uhr trocknen und waschen nicht erlaubt ist,störte es sehr.
Die Hotelzimmer gehen nach hinten raus,so hat man morgens leider ebenso den Lärm der Ladezone vom Supermarkt.
Positiv war,dass das Zimmer in einem modernen Zustand war und die Mitarbeiter alle sehr nett waren.
Der Strand ist fußläufig zehn Minuten entfernt.
