Given that Flores is off the beaten track, this is a very nice hotel, I expect it’s the best in Flores. It opened May 2024, and is located about 10 minutes drive from the town center. Not cheap, but its price/performance ratio is good, and you can easily be pampered if that’s your thing. Breakfast has a limited choice, but what they have is nicely done, and they do offer some off-menu items. The gym is large and well-equipped and the hotel offers a private beach with free snorkelling - but the jellyfish can be a pain. The resort is not huge, but the winding road layout means that if you stay in most villas then a buggy is essential to go anywhere, which can sometimes be frustrating. The pool villas are spacious and well equipped, although the pools are open-sided and therefore overlooked (including by the resort security cameras), so skinny dipping is not an option. There is no Grab Car in Flores but taxis into town are readily available for about US$7 each way, so you will not be captive in the resort. There is also a free shuttle service 3 times per day. The local town itself offers many cheap seafood options as well as reasonably priced western bars. Overall, if your budget allows, this is a good option for a stay in Labuan Bajo.
