Chalet Cannelle

My family and I stayed at Chalet Cannelle in January for our annual skiing holiday. Wow! What a chalet! The food was magnificent, probably the best we have had on a ski trip. The wine was excellent, different every day and certainly gave us something to pontificate about, Andy and Lorraine were excellent hosts, welcoming, always helpful and a font of local knowledge. The chalet itself is spacious and full of period features with a roaring log fire. Thank you.

A truly premium alpine chalet experience. We came with our 4 year old daughter and friends (another family) for the first time in February for 4 nights. It's a beautiful authentic chalet bursting with character, lovingly maintained and styled by the hosts Andy & Lorraine. These guys provide meticulous attention to detail and passion in creating incredible cuisine made from fresh, seasonal produce and a warm, homely service. Magical memories - I'll be coming back.

Stayed here several times now because we know there’s just nowhere better! Everything from airport transfers to ski hire, slope drop offs/pick ups to ski passes, are arranged with and for you. This beautiful chalet is spotlessly clean and so calm and relaxing from the moment you enter. You’re so well looked after. The food is exceptional and watching Andy plate up is like watching a master at work, ably supported by the hostess with the mostess, sommelier Lorraine. We really do love bringing our little bit of Yorkshire to this little ‘peace’ of France.

Lorraine and Andy provided us with simply the best skiing holiday we have had in a very long time. The chalet and their hospitality were fantastic and the meals that Andy cooked are some of the best we have ever had (so much so we purchased his cook book!). The ski hire service provided at the chalet, and lift passes that were pre-purchased and made available at the chalet upon our arrival removed a lot of stress from the first day. The lessons organised by Lorraine for our children with Rory were also excellent and I highly recommend his ski school services. In short, this was a first class skiing experience with very little stress and / or hassle as Lorraine and Andy had all the bases covered for us. It was also made all the better by meeting the other wonderful people that were staying at the chalet, we made great friends during our stay. Thanks Lorraine & Andy, we will be back!! ⛷️ ❤️

We booked Chalet Cannelle for 9 of us. Communication before the trip wqs excellent with regular updates and help with ski hire, lift passes, airport transfers etc. Lorraine and Andy are superb hosts and the chalet and rooms are lovely. The sitting/dining area is spacious and comfortable and the rooms are well appointed with modern bathrooms. Dino and Lavinia who help out, drove us to and from the clopes each day and were always incredibly punctual on pick up. They are a delightful couple too. Now I come to the food- Andy is a fabulous chef and delighted us every evening with his creations. If you enjoy good food, this one is for you. Andy was also careful to choose meals that you were unlikely to have up the mountain for lunch. All told, this was a great week in a wonderful chalet, impeccable service, food to die for and a lovely bunch of friends. My only reservation about leaving this review is that everyone is going to book it and we won't be able to find a slot again!

We had a wonderful week at Chalet Cannelle at the end of February. I think it might be the first time I’ve stayed in a chalet that’s run by the owners and boy does it show. Andy and Lorraine are amazing hosts, their care and attention to detail is second to none and their hosting displays a great spirit of generosity which has not always been apparent in other chalets I’ve stayed in and which I really appreciated. The chalet is beautifully furnished and extremely comfortable and beautifully maintained. I think the cooking is the best I’ve had in a chalet, it was always delicious, very creative and interesting and served in portions that didn’t leave you feeling you’d overeaten but you’d had an exceptional meal.the wines are carefully matched to the good and again like everything, of excellent quality. Dino and Lavinia who help Andy and Lorraine are cheerful and helpful and are always there on time to transport you to the lifts or dinner. I really cannot fault the experience I had and would highly recommend Chalet Cannelle

We had a wonderful week at Chalet Cannelle hosted by Lorraine and Andy. The chalet is exceptionally spacious and spotlessly clean, with comfortable beds and en suite bathrooms for every room. The uninterrupted views of the mountains from the bedrooms and living room are fantastic. The ski lifts are a short ride away and we were efficiently ferried back and forth without ever having to wait. Andy is an amazing chef. The food and wine were exceptional. Starting with tasty canapés around the log fire, followed by a well thought out menu of three courses plus cheese. All ingredients being locally sourced and of the highest quality. Every meal was delicious and never a repeat of what we had in the mountain restaurants. Lorraine and Andy are great hosts and this is unquestionably the best chalet experience you can have.

I thoroughly enjoyed our recent ski holiday with my husband at Chalet Cannelle, and have decided I never want to go back to a hotel skiing holiday again! With large bedrooms, lots of storage for ski stuff, a comfortable bed, lovely views with a hot tub in the garden, what is there not to love? And the best bit-the food at dinner-Masterchef worthy! Great hosts and great skiing very close by, I would highly recommend a stay at Chalet Cannelle and i look forward to returning again soon!
