Valoraciones de Astana Wing - Riverside Majestic Hotel

Booked 2 rooms for my family and seriously, I was really disappointed for what I get vs the price I paid. The hotel was labelled with 5 stars but the standard is not even 2 stars to begin with. I saw some bad reviews before I booked but I thought sometimes this is just a difference in expectation. But seriously, I regretted it. There was only 1 pax in the concierge and we waited a while to check in because she was on the phone. The first 2 rooms we get, the aircond is not cold, the rooms smell mouldy, the toilet bowl is ok but the wall in the toilet looks like it has never been scrubbed for sometime. Lots of black mold. Seriously, I feel like recommending the hotel Mr. Muscles the moment I step in. No joke. The curtain was creased and .. the couch has lots of stain. Omg. We called the counter telling her that the aircond is not cold and she said probably needs to wait for sometime and I asked how long it normally takes to cool up and she said around 30-40min. I was like woah!, ok fine probably a super old hotel. So we went out for dinner but the room was still warm when we got back. So they changed our rooms to a higher floor. But.. only 1 room is better and the other room's aircond was still not cold. I just ignored it as it was already a tiring day with a long flight and kids. As for the swimming pool, I think it's quite old but it's clean and hotel guests need to walk some distance to the other building (other hotel) to go to the gym and swimming pool area. They do provide pool towels. Location wise, it's nice, and you can see the kuching water front beautiful night view and plenty of parking in the basement. Anyway long story short, I think this hotel overcharges for the quality they can offer and the star given is very misleading.
