Chill Out Bar and Bungalows

Buena proximidad a la playa de Railay, aunque hay que caminar por la jungla para llegar a ella. Alternativamente, pague 300 THB a los barcos de cola larga para que lo lleven allí. Normalmente costaría 50 THB, pero no hay nadie más en la playa de Tonsai, por lo que tendrías que esperar un rato. El personal fue lo suficientemente amable. No hay electricidad entre las 3 am y las 6 pm. La habitación estaba limpia pero hacía mucho calor cuando se apagó el ventilador. No había agua caliente, los enchufes no funcionaban muy bien y hacía mucho ruido si pasaba algún ciclomotor.

Este lugar está bien por lo que es, pero pagas muy poco por su ubicación y calidad en comparación con otros lugares a su alrededor. Sólo hay electricidad de 6 de la tarde a 6 de la mañana. Sin aire acondicionado, sólo un ventilador. Si solo estás planeando pasar un rato en la playa y no pasar tiempo adentro y solo necesitas un lugar para dormir, entonces esto está bien. O estás buscando un lugar "relajado" para simplemente pasar el rato, esto también está bien.

This place is less about the accommodation, and more about the experience living in the jungle of Tonsai. The room is simple, not the cleanest, very remote and extremely hot (can be a struggle to cool down when no electricity for 12 hours a day), BUT, the location is amazing and the fellow travellers you meet out here are great. Would definitely recommend if you're looking for something less luxurious, but more of a tropical experience in the jungle.

Gostamos da estadia nos bangalôs. Foi tudo tranquilo, são muito hospitaleiros. Os bangalôs são espaços embora falte alguma manutenção, nos atendeu bem.

We arrived during the low season and immediately fell in love with the place, so we stayed for two weeks. The staff is super chill, accommodating and approachable - we ended up hanging around with them quite a bit. Their friendliness was one of the big perks to our stay. There’s a great restaurant with affordable prices right next to the bungalow park, where we had great coffee and even greater Pad Thai’s and the like. It’s right on the Main Street of Tonsai (though it is a small village) with many restaurants, some shops for your basic needs and plenty of climbing equipment rental places. All in all, we highly recommend this place, particularly if you love rock climbing, and want an authentic jungle living experience - cold showers and the ventilation which turns on at 6 will ensure you get enough cooling to feel rejuvenated in the morning as the monkeys start swinging in the trees in front of your bungalow.

Simple yet comfortable bungalow. Lovely staff, bar and surrounds. So nice being in the jungle. We loved it and would definitely stay again!

This review isn’t for the bungalows as we didn’t stay there. But now we know about it, next time we probably will! The food is amazing, and cheap!, and the couple who run it are so nice. They were absolutely fine with dietary requirements, too (via Google translate). And the bar is amazing! Lovely bar staff and amazing cocktails! Can’t wait to go back!
