La habitación es muy confortable, con vistas a la habitación es espectacular, lavadoras, nevera y cocina, lo hace muy fácil y se siente como en casa. La ubicación es un poco obsoleta pero yo lo sabía antes de que se inspeccionó, así que estoy bien con ella, alquilar una moto alrededor no hace la ubicación demasiado insoportable. Durante mi estancia no había muchos huéspedes, así que es muy tranquilo lo que es perfecto para mí para trabajar, también siento que tener todo el tiempo sin molestias, el único desacontecimiento es el desayuno puede ser un poco mejor, opciones bastante limitadas y repetitivas; y el gimnasio es bastante viejo. Wow es todo lo que puedo decir. Bello hotel, ubicación perfecta. Nuestra habitación era hermosa y espaciosa, ducha sorprendente y siempre caliente. La piscina y la playa son increíbles. La comida y los cocktails son hermosos. Teníamos 2 fabulosos masajes en el spa del hotel. En el hotel, el hotel está acostumbrado a la calle, nada cerca. Pero en general nos encantaba nuestra estadía y definitivamente volveremos a visitarla.

I don’t often write reviews, but always use them to make choices when looking to stay here. I booked this hotel to stay at for my son’s 10th birthday in January 2024. The room I booked was no refundable, but having read reviews I was happy to take the risk. 2 hours before we were due to travel there we received an email to say that their pool was closed due to unplanned renovations. Let’s be honest, this is the hotels only real selling point and the whole reason I booked it in the first place. Disappointed, we had no choice but to travel to the hotel to discuss things with their team in person. Arriving at the hotel it was a mess, almost looked derelict. Whoever took their hotel photos needs a pay rise, put it that way. It was clear that the work wasn’t unplanned, and in fact had been going on for some time. Letting guests know on the day they travel is obviously a ploy to prevent confrontation. We were told that we had the use of a pool at their sister hotel, 15 minutes away by shuttle. This runs every 2/3 hours. Not the fairy tail birthday I had in mind for my son if I’m honest. To compound things, the hotel refused to refund me my money and I had to pay again to stay at a hotel that was able to provide the facilities it promised. Looking back at the hotel, there were clear signs. They haven’t had a positive review since 2021, that tells its own story. If you are thinking of staying here, please don’t. I decided to extend my stay here during Covid lockdown. Satva Samui gave me a haven to hide in. Expert yoga and meditation teachers, awesome meals, and a peaceful location away from the busyness. It's obvious that a lot of thought goes into all aspects of the hotel. Nice spot to recharge, for solo travelers, couples, or even groups. The accommodating team made everything stress-free, they quickly helped with anything I needed. Nights on the hotel property were quiet and I felt safe as a solo female traveler. The beach just steps away is especially nice for a early morning walk, and there are plenty of hammocks along the way to stop and watch the sunrise.

I booked Rocky’s mainly because it was “starred” in Lonely Planet, and the price did not feel outrageous for what appeared to be a fine looking and well-reviewed resort. Somewhere to enjoy for a few days at the end of a long work trip in Asia. Initial doubts over it not being directly adjacent to the main Lamai beach were quickly banished. In fact, after my one visit to Lamai beach, the southern end of which is about a 15 minute walk from Rocky’s, I was only too pleased to return to the peace and tranquillity of the hotel. I stayed in one of the rooms overlooking the garden pool. The room was amazing: huge, beautifully appointed with great balcony/terrace, and a huge bathroom. Within 30 seconds you are swimming in the garden pool, or within a leisurely couple of minutes, can be swimming in the sea or the hotel pool next the beach. The beach itself is small, yes, but it’s right next the hotel pool, and feels safer and less steeply-shelving than nearby Lamai, and is pretty much for the exclusive use of Rocky’s residents. There is a great beach-bar by the pool and the whole place feels just the right size. There is an old offshore reef you can kayak to at low tide, and have a swim off there. The water is a little clearer and stays waist to chest deep for some way. But if you go out there, make sure you wear some sort of footwear as the coral is sharp at that spot. The headland makes the cove calmer during higher winds than at Lamai. The water at all the beaches the week I was there was not so clear but there were a lot of storms so that tends to churn things up a bit. Brilliant, attentive and helpful staff throughout. Food was excellent, even if some dishes and drinks seem a little overpriced. The setting, location and high quality accommodation more than compensated. Plus, you could order food up to quite late, and always someone at the bar to serve you a drink well into the night. For a change of dining scene there are a number of really good restaurants very nearby. Scooter hire is pricier than in town (relatively speaking) but there’s a certain peace of mind knowing you’re booking through the hotel. Even with its Lonely Planet approval, Rocky’s is an understated gem of a hotel/resort on this island.

Este es uno de los mejores hoteles que he estado en los últimos 50 años. La limpieza es excelente y todo el personal es muy amable y útil. Mi habitación era muy grande y la ducha/baño de 10 metros de largo. El hotel está muy bien equipado y cuenta con agua, té y café gratis.
