"It was my Birthday when we check in into this lovely place. We were greeted at the entrance by the well trained staff member who leaded us to our room. Later in the evening we were having my Birthday celebration together with htl Manager Magezi Richard amazingly cultured and polite man who is globally aware so we have a lot of things to talk about. All of a sudden lights went out and we heard a staff singing "Happy Birthday to You" song entering into canteen and bringing a birthday cake ordered earlier by our wonderful guide Muzamilu Chance the owner of Chance Tour Uganda. It was absolutely unforgettable moments and I really enjoyed it. I would highly recommend Magezi Richard as your next host in Uganda. Thank you so much!"

"The setting cannot be topped. Nestled in a rainforest...an impenetrable rainforest at that, this lodge has spectacular views and grounds. The rooms were nice. The service was friendly and thoughtful. The lodge/dining hall could be improved with better lighting, and the food was...fine. We stayed at another property later from same company (Eagle's Nest at Lake Mburo), which we enjoyed more. But this is a super good place to stay if you are in the area for Gorillas, which we were."
