Rockcrest House

The perfect stay. The hosts are so gracious and personable. The home is an absolute knockout. The room was spacious, comfortable and lovely. Such a wonderful breakfast as well. As we say farewell to Ireland it's impossible to imagine a nicer place to remember.

We had a wonderful experience at Rockcrest House, David and Marion are the perfect hosts. Minutes walk from downtown, but in a quiet neighborhood with sheep across the street. We had a prime room with view as does the public area, and the breakfasts were the best of our trip, featuring Marians’s homemade brown bread. The hosts were full of tips as to where to eat or what to see, I can recommend without reservation.

This was our second 5 star stay at Rockcrest House. It is a lovely accomodation, with delicious cooked breakfasts and very kind & helpful hosts! Rockcrest House is in a quiet location just steps from town -- perfect to explore Kenmare on foot.

Our favorite B&B we have ever stayed in. We home based at Rockcrest House for 3 nights on our 12 day trip to Ireland because it was a perfect location for exploring the Beara and Iverage peninsulas, Ring of Kerry, Killarney and the lovely town of Kenmare. There is so much pride of ownership and you feel the Irish family history throughout your stay. Miriam's brown bread is her mothers recipe from way back and not to be missed at breakfast each day. (See the special picture of Miriam and her 8 sisters in the sitting room) Most of the family has stayed in the Kenmare area and if you are lucky you will see grandchildren popping in and out looking for a nice meal. Super private and quiet location and you can walk to everything in Kenmare. As many point out, the breakfasts are really second to none, rooms are generous and super clean. I highly recommend for anyone and can easily say you will not be disappointed with your accommodations, location and the family that is living their passion for hospitality. Rockcrest House was a great place to stay! The hosts are very friendly and attentive to all needs. It's located at a very central location and is walkable to shops and stores. It's also a very great value. I paid much more for other hotels around Ireland that were not nearly as nice.

Beautiful place, very clean. The breakfast was wonderful. When we got to our room, a little boy came to our door. He was five years old and we were told his name was Johnny. He politely extended his hand and shook hands with my husband and “pleased to meet you,”. This made a great impression and we will remember Johnny and the friendly people at Rockcrest House.
