Location is alright, there’s occasional cockroaches running past you when you are in the room, cleanliness has a lot to improve on. Worst part is that I booked a single room and was given a room next to the elevator with a window without curtain, anyone tall enough would be able to look into my room and everything in it, to add on to that, the room was next to the elevator and you can hear every footstep and noise/chat coming from the corridor, and when the elevator moves, there’s this super unnecessary music that runs with it so you would get a sense of that throughout the day and night. When I went to the receptionist to ask for a different room, she told me there’s no other rooms available and I have to pay an extra 1500 rupee to upgrade to a different room, that amount, adding with the original I paid for- would already be much higher than a standard deluxe room. Obviously she and the hotel was trying to scam me by leveraging on giving a super lousy room at first. Even though they eventually agreed to change room for me at no charge, I was honestly traumatised by this hotel and was uncomfortable through the stay. Then at check-out in the next morning, the guy was reluctant to let me go asking if I had already paid and making calls to confirm about it. Overall there’s surely better rooms for similar price in Thamel, so do try to skip this hotel unless you like some good memorable reasons to spoil your trip.

Stayed at this hotel for a week and it was okay . First day they gave me a very small room far from what I had paid for . The next morning the receptionist decided to move me to the room that matched what I paid for . The location is good , close to the tourist area. At night it’s loud outside but then it’s something you can work with . They have a rooftop restaurant with delicious dishes . I enjoyed the food throughout my stay. If I ever come back again , I will book this hotel again .

I didn't realise the hotel location is so fantastic. Near Asan Bazaar, Kathmandu Durbar Square and in the heart of Thamel. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The room reasonably clean. If I ever return to Kathmandu, I will stay in Hotel de Universal again. Thank you so much for the great service.

The hotel services are incredible,the hotel workers are so nice and very respectful…my favorite spot was the rooftop restaurant and bar,very good for chilling

The location is perfect, right at the heart of the city. The view is great, too. The staff are amazing: Bibek informed me about everything I asked, from means of transport to some specialties. I didn't have a kettle in the room, and he got me one. The breakfast was nice, although served only starting from 11 am (which is a bit late to my taste). The biggest issue is hot water that is warm, but i guess that's the case pretty much everywhere in Nepal. There's an AC, a bar of soap, a toothpaste and a toothbrush, a towel, two chairs, but no desk.

Приятный номер, много места, пространства и света. Из минусов, у менч были проблемы с горячей водой, её ее было... но я мылась вечером, возможно с этим както связано. Я испольщовала чайник... Не прям чисто, я признаться, прибралась сама. Две бесплатные бутылки воды, мыло, шампунь, вай фай, свет. Мне было комфортно и удобно находиться там, просыпаться со светящими в окно лучами солнца. Ресторан на крыше мне тоже понравился, достаточно дёшево, но вкусно, мой фаворит, конечно - вегетарианские момо, нри меня завоевали. В общем, по цене и качеству меня все устроило. Персонал очень милый, улыбающийся, уважает своих гостей, заботится и это здорово, приятно!

部屋について、事前に日が当たる部屋を希望しましたが、スーペリアシングルの部屋は日が当たらず、窓からの眺めもビルの裏側が見えるだけ、寒く、エアコンもなく、お湯もでないという部屋でした。到着初日で大分疲れていたので、辛い夜を過ごしました。翌日、部屋を変更してもらい、広場に面した４Fの大きい部屋になりました。日当たりもよく、エアコンもあり、眺めもいい良い部屋でした。スーペリアシングルはおススメできませんが、広場側の部屋なら☆５です。宿の対応も、親切で良好でした。

Excellent emplacement en plein coeur de Thamel, très bon rapport qualité-prix et vue magnifique sur les montagnes de Katmandou et la ville depuis le roof top. En revanche, il y avait deux cafards dans la chambre, qui était relativement propre toutefois (mais pas impeccable)

繁華街とローカルエリアの中間に位置しているのでいろんな場所に行きやすい。 室内に灰皿があるので部屋でのんびりタバコが吸える。エレベーターもあってエアコン、ホットシャワーも使えてコストパフォーマンスは良いと思う。 本当に便利なホテル。

좋은 위치였고 프론트의 직원분들이 너무 친절했어요. 제가 문제가 있을 때 연락하면 바로 해결해주어 너무 감사했어요.그리고 7층 레스토랑도 너무 맛있었고요. 시티뷰가 보이는 방이었는데 창이 커서 햇빛이 잘 들었고 히터와 뜨거운 온수도 잘 나왔어요. 너무 따뜻하고 편했는데 주변에 편의시설, 가게들, 약국, 커피숍, 세탁소등이 바로 근처에 있어서 추천해요👍다음에도 타멜에 간다면 다시 예약하고 싶어요. 감사해요
