Xinjiang Come Meet You B&B (Kashgar Ancient City Scenic Area)

This hotel is in a great location just above the food street in the Ancient City. Clean decent sized rooms with good AC and the receptionist is very nice too

Overall, quite a decent stay. You really can’t beat the location. It’s just a stone’s throw away from the main entrance to this side of old city. The balcony overlooks the main street and I loved sitting there and taking in the sounds and smells. The building itself is a bit older and it shows. The table in my room was a bit dirty and aged, and there was an ashtray which suggests smoking can be allowed in the room for prior guests, but thankfully there was no cigarette smell in my room. Unfortunately, there were a few setbacks. The bathroom shower did not drain well and after 5 minutes water would start flooding out of the shower room to the hallway. There are two washers in a lower room but they were both occupied with sheets that were just sitting there and had not been put through the wash cycle yet. It seemed like the hotel uses these as their main washer for their linens. When I was checking in, the front desk person seemed confused if I had a reservation but that’s about as much as I could figure out with the language barrier. My trip.com reservation said I have a late checkout of 4pm but they came to my room around 2:45pm and said I was supposed to check out at 2pm. Thankfully I had everything packed up and said I could leave at 3pm. No one came to my room to clean so my trashcan was full. You can hear everything on the street which wasn’t a big problem to me, sort of white noise drowned out by the second day. However, the second day there was a new group of tourists that arrived and spent a lot of time on the balcony (as they should) but their noise was very audible and quite annoying. You could also easily hear people going up and down the stairs and in adjacent rooms.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Perfect location right in the heart of Kashgar old city. The lobby is a bit dark, entrance stair case looks not very welcoming. The hotel had allowed us to leave our luggage on the night we were out. That help us a lot. We love our stay there and love Kashgar with its culture and peoples.

Right in the old city. Perfect location next to the main gate so it’s not too far to walk from a taxi. All of the food and action is right outside the doorstep.

Bedbugs! Location is very good. Very hard beds.
