Super noisy hotel. Far away from 5 stars. Constructions in the hotel starting at 6:30am is a no go! The hotel location is directly at a motorway where all people like to race during night. Windows not at all soundproof! Room didn’t get vacuumed. The interior is from the 80s and the AC from the 60s I guess. Half of the room was broken. See pictures. And m mattress is a nightmare. Way too soft.

We had a lovely stay overall, with a perfect location and excellent service from the staff. However, we were quite disappointed to find that the rooftop dining area was closed due to renovations during our stay. This was one of the highlights we were particularly looking forward to, and had we known about the renovation beforehand, we would have chosen a different hotel.

The Point Hotel is located in Kangaroo point. It has a outdoor pool a new upgraded restaurant and a rooftop bar. The room is modern and had city views

It’s very well located and very friendly team members. Particularly enjoyed the coffee bean they use, however felt the buffet was a little pricey for what was on offer. The hotel is under going major refurbishment, however didn’t affect sleeping at night and we were out all day. The restaurant fit out is lovely, & not doubt once the Reno’s are finished, it will be a divine place to continue to stay. We will be back.

Before I arrived, I contacted them through Trip to ask about the parking fee, and I was told it would be a certain price. However, when I arrived, they charged me an extra $5. I explained that I had previously asked about the price and showed them the message. They told me they would honour the discounted price, but in the end, they still charged me the full price. It’s only a $5 difference, but I was really disappointed with the experience. It’s more about the principle and the fact that they didn’t honour what they had previously told me.

First off, this hotel enjoys an excellent location, being very close to all the attractions I planned to visit. However, slippers and toothbrushes are not provided in the rooms and have to be collected from the front desk. The power socket is hidden behind the nightstand and barely visible; I had to move the nightstand out of the way just to access it, and I still needed my own travel adapter for charging. Aside from these minor inconveniences, everything else about the stay was great.

Restaurant staff were wonderful but meals were below average. No antre's at all on the menu and only 5 mains listed. Very small chicken parmy and very small serving of mediteranian lamb that was over salted. We left hungry and dissapointed as at no time were we informed of a restricted menu and there is no way possible a chef cooked those meals. No real chef would have let that leave the kitchen. Expensive carparking at the hotel that is extra so we opted to park in the street at risk.

We couldn’t fault the point hotel. The staff are friendly and exceptionally helpful even at busy times like New Years. The rooms are clean, well equipped and very comfortable and the roof top bar and restaurant were lovely. We will absolutely stay again. The only feedback I’d mention is the toiletries provided (soap/ hand wash and shampoo/conditioner combined were pretty average and not what was pictured in the advertisement. Otherwise this was an incredible stay.
