The room was clean and bright, with new equipment and fast internet. What was even more touching was that from the lobby to the guest rooms, every employee greeted us with a smile and was eager to assist. Breakfast was rich and varied, with a wide selection of Chinese and Western dishes, all of excellent quality. Overall, the value for money is exceptionally high. This is truly a hidden gem among quality hotels; their diligent, enthusiastic, and thoughtful service, combined with their standard operations, truly speaks for itself – they don't need praise, just satisfied guests. We really struck gold with this find, and we highly recommend it!"

Throughout this, there was no mention of compensation for the delay beyond the standard check-in time. Only after I threatened to complain to Trip.com did the hotel offer an upgrade to an executive twin room. In the room, there was hair on the headboard and pillows, and the shower leaked, flooding under the sink and into the bathroom. All the towels in the room were wet and couldn't even dry anything, so I had to call the front desk for someone to mop it up. I later found out the shower curb was higher on the inside and lower on the outside, causing the water to flow out – something the hotel admitted was an engineering issue. The next day, I spoke to the front desk, and they offered to change my room. However, the new room had noticeable stains in the sink that hadn't been cleaned, a strange smell in the bathroom, and no lotion provided. Staying at this hotel felt like opening a blind box, never knowing what extra or missing items you'd get. The staff were genuinely nice and apologized immediately when issues arose, but new problems just kept popping up. It really doesn't feel like an international brand hotel."

"Paying nearly 800 RMB for a stay during the May Day holiday, this was by far the priciest option among similar hotels in Xin'anjiang that day; even some popular river-view hotels didn't cost this much (though I admit I booked last minute, past midnight the day before departure). If it weren't for its proximity to a trendy restaurant, I wouldn't have chosen it, as it's far from both attractions and shopping malls. The hotel appears to be a renovated old building, and being right by the road, it was quite noisy. The booking stated check-in was available after 2 PM. We arrived past 4 PM, exhausted after driving for nearly 8 hours and eager to rest. Upon arrival, we were told there were no available rooms because they were fully booked and only had two cleaning staff. We waited for almost 50 minutes before a room became available. The elevator was incredibly slow, and the hallway had a peculiar odor. The floor in our room was soaking wet from a recent mopping, and it reeked of a mix of mildew and cigarette smoke. There was even an ashtray, which made me wonder if smoking is still permitted in Jiande hotels. The website listed a wardrobe, but in reality, it was just a small hanging space next to the sink, where clothes would inevitably get splashed. The room was tiny; I can't remember the last time I stayed in a double room with only one bedside table – it must have been ages ago. There were no hand towels or tissues by the sink, not even a bar of soap. This was also my first time encountering a hotel without tea or coffee sachets. I called the front desk to ask if there was any hand soap/liquid soap, hand towels, or tissues by the sink, and an old man with a local accent curtly told me 'no.' His terrible attitude made me feel like I hadn't even paid for the room. The 'parking lot' was virtually non-existent; it was just a tiny courtyard. We had to park on the steep roadside slope next to the hotel, and if your car gets scratched there, you'd be out of luck. The breakfast selection the next morning was pitifully sparse: only tofu buns, small meat buns, plain congee, pumpkin congee, sweet potatoes, eggs, potato fried rice, soy milk, and watermelon. It wasn't tasty, and the place was so crowded that many people couldn't find a seat. We finished breakfast quickly and couldn't wait to check out. Staying at a Radisson the next day for the same price was like night and day. While price surges during a short holiday are understandable, 800 RMB is not a low price by any standard. This truly felt like a two-star guesthouse, at best. The soundproofing was absolutely terrible; at 10 PM, it sounded like elephants were stomping on the ceiling. The tissues provided were also of very poor quality; they were so bad they'd stick to your face when wiping sweat. Furthermore, there was no door separating the shower from the toilet in the bathroom, so water easily splashed everywhere."
