Uno de los mejores hoteles que he estado en Sri Lanka, un paraíso en medio de una de tantas ciudades desastrosas de este país. Unos jardines muy bonitos, con un pequeño paseo de palmeras, arboles, plantas flores, una estupenda piscina, un lugar de ensueño en medio de una caótica ciudad. Paz y tranquilidad, se compone de unos edificios independientes unos de otros con 4 habitaciones cada uno de ellos, planta baja y primer piso, todos ellos con bonitas vistas al jardín. Las habitaciones tamaño normal, pero están muy bien, caja de seguridad, frigo, tele, y muebles bien conservados, ventanal y terraza con vistas, muy limpio, baño tamaño normal y muy limpio y ventana exterior. todo un acierto con este hotel. Lo mejor el personal, lo peor a mi entender como esta montado el restaurante, me recuerda a uno de esos de antaño que había en las carretas. Desayuno y cenas muy bien.

Fox Jaffna stands out as one of the top choices for staying in Jaffna. Placed in an excellent location, this hotel is full of local history, making it a one-of-a-kind place to stay. Although many view it as a luxurious hotel, our experience suggests it's more of a standard accommodation. Our room was quite basic and could use some updates, especially in the bathroom. Unfortunately, the balcony door lock was broken upon our arrival, but it got fixed promptly. The overall hotel area and the pool were well-kept, creating a pleasant atmosphere. The service, while friendly, didn't stand out as exceptional. During our dining experience, the waiter pushed the dinner buffet, but we declined due to its questionable value and selection. Unfortunately, many menu items were unavailable. However, we chose a curry, which turned out to be quite good. On a positive note, the breakfast had a wide selection and was delicious. We suggest exploring dinner options outside the hotel. Adchaya Pathra restaurant, with its reasonable prices, polite service, and tasty food, left us satisfied. What makes Fox Jaffna special is its rich history. The hotel tells a centuries-long tale of a home that has endured tough times, now transformed into a tranquil resort. While Northern Sri Lanka is definitely worth exploring, currently, the value for money at Fox Jaffna isn't quite there. Therefore, we recommend considering another hotel instead. A home from home. I felt very comfortable in this hotel and the staff are attentive without being intrusive. Food is great too. Overall a lovely stay. Room was clean and the bed was really comfortable

We cannot rate this hotel high enough for service and accommodation. From the moment we arrived we were given a lovely welcome and shown around the property. Beautiful gardens which were being made even more spectacular with the arrival of new plants and trees one of which we were allowed to plant. How great was that. The food was excellent and the service at both breakfast and dinner was also excellent. Loved the pool so clean and warm. We stayed 3 nights and would definitely recommend

We had the loveliest time at Fox Jaffna! The rooms are comfortable and spacious. The grounds are gorgeous, full of vibrant and lush greenery. The placement of prints by the Colombo '43 group and the bunker art gallery made this stay a unique experience. We found the staff to be extremely kind and helpful and especially appreciated Amith's suggestions of places to visit. Thank you for a lovely stay!

I had a wonderful time at Fox Jaffna. The food and hospitality were at the highest standard. The ambience is very attractive, and the rooms are well-maintained. Highly recommended for a peaceful stay. Scotys hospital is at the highest level, specially thanks to Scoty.

This hotel is located juust outside the main market area in Jaffna. It is on a main road, but you honestly would never be able to tell. So quiet and tranquil when you step into the grounds of this property. My friend and I had a very spacious room with twin bedding, seating area with views over the pool and very clean. The staff are so friendly and helpful at the restaurant, entrance and reception. Pool and grounds are impeccable. There is also a cool bunker art gallery you can enter from the reception building. Would highly recommend using this as your base in Jaffna!

I visited this beautiful, well maintained huge property where they have a large garden. Also, they have a wonderful underground museum. So nice and very well presented to customers. Food their is super Authontic Jaffna Food. Well presented. Compliance to veteran Ex.Chef Balan Puspendran.

It’s a nice resort, with a nice pool and rooms with a view on the pool. There are many birds flying around the resort, feels like you’re in the jungle even though it’s in the middle of the city Jaffna. The service is great, especially the waiter Kobi! He is giving good advices about food choices and always helping. Definitely recommend this hotel!

The service was excellent with the staff being polite, pleasant and responsive at all times. The young man Amit Kumar in the restaurant service was in particular very helpful in assisting us to plan our itinerary for sights to see. The bunkers housing an art gallery and museum was unusual and worth checking out. The heritage rooms we stayed in had an old world character and were spacious. However our stay was marred by some sort of an animal (cat?) running around in the false ceiling of the room making a loud noise and creating a major disturbance during sleep time as well. The staff tried but could not solve the problem. This was unacceptable, particularly in the higher priced heritage rooms. The restaurant ambience could have been better although the service was good. The food was not great either, with a limited choice.

We came for the buffet dinner on Jaffna night. Loved all the food and the service by Scotty was exceptional. This place has the best hot butter cuttlefish we have tried so far and we definitely recommend it! Esthetically the hotel is also beautiful and all the staff are super friendly and very informative.

An Oasis of a hotel in hot Jaffna . Beautiful cool garden with palm trees and mangoe trees. Praceful well appointed Chalets all facing the pool.The reception and the dinning room /restaurant is part of a1908 built colonial house very sympathetically renovated and houses a fantastc collection of Art and history in its basement .The rooms are also adjourned with famtastic pieces of art You wouldnt think that you are in Jaffna when you are having a cool beer in the garden in the evening . Everything in this hotel was amazing .The staff was the best Polite attentive and going out of their way to accommodate the guests . All guests I am sure felt the same. Stotty was the best. Amazing service friendly and efficient. We were a group of 12 visiting from Colombo.The food was lovely as well a mix of local Jaffna food and continental varieties . Our only regret is that we couldnt stay longer .A bit expensive for Jaffna hotels but if you can afford undoubtedly the Best place to stay in Jaffna .Wr sure will be returning .

One of the best hotels that I have stayed in. It was my first visit to Jaffna, and the staff made me feel so welcome. Big thanks to Gopi, Amith, Nithu and the chefs for going out of their way to make our time memorable. They were friendly, extremely courteous and ensured they always had a smile and a chat. Thank you to the brilliant team, amazing service and great hospitality. Looking forward to coming back to visit soon.

The rooms are average but clean. It is located in the middle of the town, but inside is quiet and calm. We have been to number of hotels but, this has the best ever staff service. Most of the staff are tamils but can understand both sinhala and english. They are very friendly and did their best for us. Highly recommended.
