Grand Emir Hotel Old City

The location is good, walking distance to grand bazaar, blue mosque. 10 minute walk to tram and metro stations. Service is so so, the AC didn't work properly on the first two nights, it was unbearable because the room was so stuffy. On the third day they fixed the AC and it was ok. There are rooms in the basement levels with no windows, take this into account when booking. The rooms are also very small, with not much space to put bags and suitcases. The breakfast is the same every day, hard boiled eggs, potato wedges, sausages, cheese and ham. The coffee is terrible, tastes like instant coffee. The good thing is the bed is really comfortable, if you're lucky you can get a room with seaview which will probably be great. I wouldn't stay at the same area again because it's dirty and noisy.

Do not expect much if you booked this hotel stay. The building is very dated, rooms are very small, very bad Internet and lack of hot water in the shower. Breakdast better to skip and go to one of the many cafes in the area instead. However, location is very good, but, again, it can be noisy because of the busy trading area. The staff is helpful and polite, and doing everything they can, I suppose.

Not recommended for solo travelers. Lovely staff especially Maradona. Yummy Free Breakfast buffet. Since my last visit in 2019, the hotel lost some of it quality unfortunately. Maybe they are aware of this situation and started working on it, idk but I hope soon it gets it old nice quality back. Staff hardly speaking English but they understand it well If I can rate their language from my experience, it could be: 2/5 English (Talk) 4/5 English (Text) 3/5 Arabic Mr. Maradona helped me get to know the airport transportation technique while on phone (texting). Room cleaning staff especially the women are lovely and they clean the room everyday, if you allow they can clean the room too if someone sleep and I did, just to know secure and honest they are, they are safe. If I can change some things on the hotel I could: 1. Make the bathrooms bigger(shower if possible) 2. Make rooms for 4-5 persons (beds) since the hotel location very suitable for families. 3. Faster Air Conditioning, yes for someone who lives in hot countries are used on fast breezy air conditioning flow. If you can, book on +7 floor with a view on the sea to get rid of some noise from the streets

I was staying in this hotel at the end of December in 2021 with some friends. We asked for a big room for three people and it was given without any problems. The room was really big but without a window. It was ok for us because we didn't spend a lot of time there.You will be provided with a kettle, glasses and sugar if you ask. The room was cleaned every day.The staff at the reception was really kind and polite, especially Maradona. He can sort out all your problems.The location of the hotel is perfect! You can get to the main atttractions on foot.

Приехала с подружкой, нас поселили в подвальное помещение, окно было маленькое и выходила на стену другого здания(читайте нет окна). Комната была с 3 кроватями вместо двух и места вообще не было, чайник в номере отсутствовал, сейф не работал, не работал смыв туалета (что самое важное), а обнаружили мы это только ночью! Даже чтобы поставить чайник(мы его выспросили) надо было ставить его на другую кровать, так как других розеток не было. К слову, фоток этих номеров у них нет ни на одном сайте абсолютно. Некоторые уборщицы - хабалки бесцеремонные, одна из них заходила прямо когда мы спали несколько раз и говорила что-то на турецком, не прекращая! Будто мы к ней пожить приехали, а она тут хозяйка) На русском никто не говорит, хотя было написано об обратном, да даже на английском еле-еле понимают(мой английский подтверждённый В2, ближе к С1). Нас 2 дня морозили в этом ужасном номере и не собирались переселять, жили как в спартанских условиях, потом переселили якобы в номер лучшей категории, а все потому что с нормальным окном. Окно выходило на грязную крышу, никакого обещанного sea view, потом выяснилось что и в этом номере были проблемы - не работал обогреватель. На следующий день нас переселили на этаж повыше, где с одной стороны было чуть-чуть видно море. В этом номере, кстати был сломан душ, но мы уже не стали с этим заморачиваться и жаловаться. Также с середины нашей поездки с нас решили брать деньги за повторно заказанные кофе, вот это было самое смешное. Сказали, что второй кофе по доллару)) В целом, условия действительно плохие и даже в нормальных номерах постоянно что-то сломано; завтраки скудные и однообразные, даже ничего сладенького нет к кофе, а ещё вас постоянно хотят обмануть. Ну на 3 звёзды отель точно не тянет, не советую и сама больше не поеду.

Ужасный отели, нет элементарной чистоты. Мы не смогли даже позавтракать, тк вся посуда мокрая. Из окна одни трущебы. Персонал лишь бы срубить деньги. Запах в гостиницы просто дашыть не возможно. Забронировали тк читали хорошие отзывы. Никому не советую
