Amazing stuff, very helpful! Just everybody starting with those who met us in front of the hotel and reception continuing to breakfast stuff were very kind and helpful. We felt ourselves carried and welcomed. I wish only the pool was open, not even for swimming but simply to walk around and have some drink nearby, but may be will come somewhen in summer!

***Our recent stay at the Akgun Istanbul hotel was utterly disappointing, to say the least. As an international traveler from Ireland, I had expected a high standard of service from a reputed 5-star establishment, however, my expectations were regrettably not met. Upon arrival, it became apparent that communication with the staff was a considerable challenge, as most of them seemed to lack proficiency in English—a fundamental necessity for any establishment catering to international guests. This language barrier persisted throughout my stay and significantly hindered any attempts at resolving issues or making simple requests. Moving to the room, I was greeted by a musty smell that permeated the space. The furnishings appeared old and tired, failing to convey the luxury one would anticipate from a top-tier hotel. The bed, while serviceable, lacked the plush comfort typically associated with high-end accommodations. Additionally, the bathroom was in a shocking state of disrepair, with noticeable grime and neglect evident throughout. In the restaurant, the issues persisted. My son's breakfast order of fried eggs took an unacceptable 25 minutes to arrive, only to be served lukewarm. This recurring theme of slow service and subpar food quality persisted into the evening, where our meal was evidently prepared well in advance, sealed in cling film, and barely reheated upon serving. The lack of attention to freshness and temperature left much to be desired. One particularly egregious incident occurred during breakfast when my family and I were unceremoniously ousted from our table by another group of Turkish guests, despite having rightfully claimed it moments earlier with the consent of a staff member. The lack of accountability from the waitress, who initially permitted us to occupy the table, only exacerbated the situation. Subsequently, when politely requesting the table back, we were met with blatant disregard and even hostility from the other Turkish guests—a behaviour unbefitting of a supposedly refined establishment. Behaviour for a Turkish woman was simply shameful and defiant, she behaved like an animal. To add insult to injury, the reckless actions of one of the Turkish woman guest resulted in me being scalded by hot coffee and our meals ruined by her aggressive outburst. Such behaviour, especially from individuals representing the hotel's clientele, is utterly disgraceful and reflects poorly on the management's ability to maintain a safe and respectful environment for all guests. When I encountered an issue with wet and dirty clothes due to a mishap in the restaurant, the offered laundry service was equally disappointing. Upon receiving my garments back, it was evident that they had merely been dried, with no attempt made to properly clean them. This lack of attention to detail and customer satisfaction further underscored the hotel's glaring deficiencies in service and professionalism. Even amenities such as the sauna proved to be hazard

The bed, in particular, was uncomfortable and seemed well past its prime, offering little in the way of support or comfort. The linens were threadbare and the pillows lumpy, making for a restless night's sleep. Adding to the discomfort was the pervasive sense of dirt and grime that permeated the room. Stains adorned the carpet, walls, and upholstery, serving as a stark reminder of the room's lack of cleanliness. The bathroom, in particular, was a sight to behold, with mold and mildew rampant and fixtures in need of repair. In conclusion, the condition of the room was abysmal, failing to provide even the most basic level of comfort and hygiene expected from a hotel of any caliber. The dining experience at this hotel left much to be desired. Despite high hopes for a satisfying culinary experience, the reality fell far short of expectations. The food, purportedly cooked to order, lacked freshness and flavour. Dishes arrived lukewarm and seemed hastily prepared, leaving a lingering sense of disappointment. The menu, while extensive, failed to deliver on its promises, with lacklustre presentations and uninspired flavours. Even simple dishes like fried eggs were overcooked and lacking in taste. Dining atmosphere was underwhelming, with little attention to detail and a noticeable lack of passion in the kitchen. In summary, the food at this hotel was a letdown, failing to live up to the standards expected of a reputable establishment. Overall, my experience with both the food and room at this hotel was deeply disappointing. From the lacklustre culinary offerings to the dismal state of the accommodations, every aspect of my stay fell short of expectations. I would strongly advise against choosing this hotel for anyone seeking a satisfactory hospitality experience.

Excellent service and great location. Just next to the subway station. Clean and large guest rooms. Many alternatives in the menu including world and Turkish cuisine. Spa area has sauma and Turkish bath. Open air swimming pool is enjoyable during shinny days in the summer time.

I chose this hotel because I wanted to have a bath in a room. But it wasn't worth it. The location is bad. There is nothing really around. Don't expect to have a view. The room was old and cold. The bathtub was very small. The paint on the walls took off years ago. So I couldn't really relax as I imagined. I think, the hotel wasn't renewed for years.. The breakfast was not worth 500 liras. Even though it's a 5 star hotel, there was almost no one who could speak English. I would not recommend staying here.

房間大，早餐豐富，附近有多個地鐵站，酒店服務質量好。位置比較適合客户來接送，一次比較滿意的經歷，以後再去土耳其會繼續訂。

The room is very noisy from the air conditioner, the bathroom is neither ventilated nor heated. Sometimes the toilet didn't flush. The room is literally collapsing before our eyes. breakfast is a good choice, but it’s so cold there it’s like you’re eating right in the middle of the street. You only call the spa for a day in advance and reserve it. Poor location with nothing around there. Very low quality hotel.

Terrible noice from the nearby main road. Old and overused linen and bath towels. Old and not well maintained room.

Tempat nyaman. Banyak perbaikan yang sudah di lakukan terhadap review yang sudah di berikan. Sarapan nya beragam.

35年的老酒店，特意挑這個酒店，是因為想感受一下傳統的土耳其酒店是什麼樣設計。大廳設計非常有年代感，水晶大吊燈加上奧斯曼帝國時期的壁畫讓人感受到了非常濃厚的文化感。木質旋轉樓梯從大廳上到2樓的餐廳，也很有歐洲的調調。入住的時候是晚上，天氣也比較冷了，前台貼心的準備了土耳其咖啡和茶供選擇。 酒店附近竟然還有一家伊斯坦堡排名第一的中餐排隊王，樓蘭蘭州拉麪。由於剛下飛機，又冷又餓，直奔該餐廳，發現排隊人特別多。等到吃完一碗熱騰騰的拉麪後，覺得非常滿足，拉麪性價比也非常高，摺合人民幣20多塊錢，因此排隊的人非常多。 酒店附近靠近Topkapi地鐵站，因此有很多當地的小餐廳，還有一個迷你家樂福，石榴和西柚大概2塊錢一斤，十分滿足。酒店位於老城區，所以有很多上坡下坡的小路，走起來也別有一番感受。 房間設施很老舊，即便乾淨的毛巾都有些發灰，和國內如家快捷酒店檔次十分相似，提供的一次性用品，看着也非常廉價。衞生間是老式的浴缸，使用起來不方便。 早餐的話，國人真的不會習慣，冷盤居多，熱菜也就是燴香腸和炸奶酪這樣。入住了三天，早餐吃到最後已經沒有了胃口，因此建議如果選擇非常傳統的土耳其酒店，那就要做好早餐吃不習慣的準備。
