在馬爾代夫的最南部，需要乘坐馬爾代夫的國內航線前往，並在抵達後轉乘酒店的快艇到渡假島。 酒店的接機送機還是非常不錯的，還贈送了國內出發的機場貴賓室。 不知道為什麼原因，這裡的海水很多都是海藻，下水出來後一定要沖洗乾淨。 房間一定要預訂海邊房型，價格都一樣，有日落房間還有其他許多選擇，但一定要選擇海灘房，其他的房型有許多被樹木徹底的遮擋，或、還裡面都是石頭，還特別的水淺。

I’m not normally the kind to leave reviews but this had to be done.. Me and my husband are frequent travelers, this was our 3rd trip to the Maldives.. what a let down.. We paid over 8k for 14nights AI in an over water bungalow.. Bluebay had sold this to as a 5 star hotel but actually it’s only a 4star, it should only be 3.5 at best.. AI Package Breakfast lunch and dinner no snacks available. Food was okay, if you enjoy local cuisine you will enjoy. I’m a fussy eater so did struggle and I also don’t enjoy spicy food. no food was allowed to leave restaurant if you did, you would be charged for it. I did sneak muffins out of breakfast for a snack later in the day. Drinks Drinks are very restrictive. They were only four cocktails for mock tails for spirits four beers I’m not sure and I’m not sure on the Wines available to drink as part of the all inclusive package if you want to do to deviate from the drinks menu, would cost you a minimum of US$12 per drink. Fizzy drinks had been either water down or left to go flat.. I enjoy a Jack Daniel and Coke, but the Coke was always flat in the end. I just stuck to sparkling water as this came out of a can. You can’t take drinks back to your room or out of the restaurant or bar if you do say you will be charged. There is another bar located near the water bungalows, but if you want to use it, you have to pay for your drinks, as you can imagine, it was empty all day every day.. There was an in dining menu/ room service which was also extremely expensive. We had looked at the menu and $38 just for a burger is a little bit much in my opinion I’m not sure if many people ever used it. This was the same for the minibar a can of Coke was $10. There was no sun-beds or umbrellas on the beach at all. Only sun-beds that were on the beach belonged to the beach bungalows but there was no possibility of shade, if you like to sunbath on the beach you will need to use your towel. The pool had a roundabout 30 sun-beds of which they had been screwed together in groups of two so that they couldn’t be moved. Two of these broke on my husband when he was laying on them. When you looked underneath, they were held together in some parts with string I’ve never seen such a mess. Most of the pool hasn’t even been grouted, you can see lots of tiles that have started to come away or come loose and bodged back together. You can’t have tea or coffee around the pool because the pool guy thinks that the milk will attract flies.. not sure what happens if you like yours black, you can have fizzy pop or juice in glass cups around the pool.. Our overwater bungalow was beautiful, very well kept and the cleaner was absolutely lovely, there had been some damage to our room in the past there were tiles that had cracked above the shower and again badly repaired. I stayed at the South Palm Resort for two week in January and I want to write some things I would have liked to know myself before booking this resort. We booked via Bluebay Travel in the UK and I would suggest you to be very careful when booking with them because not only we were not advised that this hotel is VERY FAR from Male but we also told that because as we arrive in Male at 14:00 the internal 1h and 40 min flight to Gan was only at 23:00 so if we wanted to arrive for the midday Gan flight we need to change our Emirates Flight that they booked. We ended up paying £450 extra 2 days before departure otherwise we would have arrived at the hotel at 2 AM. Not to mention that if you are flying on departure at 11:00 from Male you will leave the hotel at 3AM, which makes you journey endless. The best thing about this resort is the staff! They are so genuine, hard working and friendly. We had a beach villa, initially we were given 108 but our first night was horrible because the villa is just opposite the bar where the night music goes on until midnight. We also had our 15 months old baby with us so we knew straightaway we had to move rooms next day which was an inconvenience also because we only unpacked a few hours before to have to pack and move the next day. We explained the situation to the reception and they changed us to 129 which was far away from the bar and therefore quiet. The rooms are basic, the coffee station inside has just instant coffee, tea and kettle. While I understand this isn’t a 5* and not expecting to have a luxurious experience there was a very bad smell coming from the toilet and the issues was the sewage. We were happy to see the room had an A/C however the air was not cold. We had it on 18 degrees C always but the room was constantly warm. We told reception that most probably the A/C is out of Freon but nothing was done. The minibar was all chargeable besides the water which would be provided twice a day or on request if needed. The cleaning was also done twice a day and it was pretty good. Now, one of the most disappointing parts for us was the restaurant. We found that there was a lot of Asian Spicy Food. There was about 20-30 things to choose from but more of half would be curries and rices. As we are more used to a Mediterranean diet it was very hard for us to choose what we eat especially for our baby. They had french fries once a week and then they would fry the fries on spot so you would have to wait 10-15 minutes as people were queuing. This is just an example but I feel like you had to wait constantly for certain foods which could have been made in big bunches and let for people to serve themselves. Salads were not great and also the worst part the fruit choices. For two weeks we eat watermelon, melon and apples. Rarely you would see passion fruit and that was the only exotic fruit we saw. The rooms were very nice and the room attendants were very detailed and aimed to please. The over water villas had great snorkeling right off your room. And we got to stay in the beach from villas as well where there was also a a sea turtle that fed daily right out front. We did the all inclusive package that included the free snorkeling package. It was great having access to the snorkeling gear. The free snorkeling trip was perfect amount of time. The kayaks were great but for a resort that was so new most of the free equipment was not operational and/or was in very rough shape. The food…where to begin? There was a lot of variety however the quality was not very good and we left hungry most meals because the food was awful. I would strongly suggest upgrading to the seafood meals each evening. Those meals were incredible and inexpensive. The dining room as you will read in many reviews it is hot. Hot it was. You will sweat and it will be hard to eat because it is so warm that you just want to get out of the heat. If your are in the back area like we were there is no breeze at all. Like I said we upgraded to the all inclusive so beverages were included. It is very limited and the drinks are watered down. For example the Southern Comfort is clear. You are not allowed to leave the designated are with a drink. There are so many drinking rules and limitation. It is beyond frustrating. We saw employees be reprimanded all the time. Lastly, we went on a shark excursion to swim with the sharks. They go out to feed them multiple times a day regardless if there is a tour or not. We got out there and they told us the water wasn’t clear enough. We could see down super far. We feel like it was misleading. Maybe not? We will never know. It was still a cool experience going out watching them feed the sharks but before we went out there they gave us 15 minutes talk about not being able to snorkel with them if the water wasn’t clear enough. We would love to know if past vacationers got to snorkel with the sharks. For travels that have been to several all inclusive resorts this was our worst experience. I give it a 2 because we flew 24 hours and it was my first experience over the water. I loved the snorkeling right outside of our place.

Our stay was wonderfull, heavenly landscape, top activities, good foods and beverages; a perfect honeymoon to resume. The most important thing to notify is the kindness of employees, special mention to Sibi our Vila manager who was always present to satisfy our needs, Salman our dedicated waiter who was very helpful and very kind, the wok cooker with best plates, Bandare our kind driver and Khairul our room-boy who was very efficient and very kind. With the all inclusive options, no stress : a good restaurant with unlimited cocktails and food, a bar with unlimited cocktails all the day, everything was there to let you zen. The only convenient (which is not related to the ressort) is maybe the small airport at GAN that deserves this resort, there are only three flights per day to Male (the capital). We had to leave our ressort at 2 am to be able to take the flight of Male at 3:30 pm, so we had to wait 8 hours in Male before taking our flight.
