Todo lo que tuvimos que comer era fresco y local. El spa ofreció muchos servicios. Disfrutamos de un masaje de un par. No pierdas las piscinas ocultas! Esta isla es un tesoro y el Excelsior es el lugar para quedarse si tienes la oportunidad de visitar. ¡Volveremos! Gracias por un viaje increíble."

"I don't usually write negative reviews, because I usually prefer not to be cruel, but here we found ourselves at the limit. We stayed for 5 days in this hotel, which is really not 4 stars. Rude and unclear staff to any request. I will only mention the question regarding the ZTL: we had rented scooters, and the hotel in question is located inside the ZTL. Both the police and the rental shop specified that the hotel could have granted authorization through the municipality, for our license plates to pass through that area. After the first request made at the hotel, we were told that this was not possible, and only insisting on the second day seeing that there were other rented scooters parked in the building, in the end it was done. I understand that the period did not help, but reaching such a level of exhaustion that necessarily spills over to the guests is not admissible. English: Welcomed in a room that should have been for three people, bordering on a horror movie, overlooking the outside of the kitchen, without even the air conditioning working and with a third bed/camp bed clearly placed there afterwards, we asked to change rooms, which we were only able to do the following day. The rest of the structure equally leaves much to be desired. A swimming pool that is suitable for a hotel with 20 guests, exaggerating, very small, poorly monitored and not adequately cleaned. Cleaning that leaves much to be desired even inside the rooms. On the third day, for example, we found some makeup scattered around the room. I won't comment on the food because fortunately we didn't even have half board but judging by the reviews the trend was the same. In any case, super poor breakfast and not very polite staff. On the first day we got off late at 9.36 with breakfast ending at 9.30. It had never happened to me that for just 6 minutes of delay the staff, even laughing in our faces, denied us the opportunity to consume even just a croissant (which was certainly left over in the kitchen). Terrible. The only positive note, the proximity to the main street and the sea, but be careful, the hotel does not have any kind of agreement with any beach, so you should equip yourself beforehand. An experience not to be repeated!"

La Capannina - Hotel & Apartments

"Had a great stay here in July for 5 nights with my partner. Room was quite basic but had everything we needed and a balcony with a clothes line to dry beach towels/ swimwear. Pool area was a nice place to relax during the day & great views overlooking the castle and port. Breakfast served in the restaurant and offered a good selection of pastries, bread, meats & fruit as well as a coffee. Dined in the restaurant a couple of times and the food was delicious - freshly made pasta and the pizzas (only served in the evening) were amazing! Beautiful views over the bay and a great place to watch the sunset. Good location with a bus stop less than 5 minutes away with regular buses to the port & tickets sold at reception. Walked down to the castle one day which took about 40 minutes downhill, quite a steep walk back in the heat so would recommend bus/ taxi if it’s hot! Staff were all really lovely and happy to help - would highly recommend staying here!"

"El hotel es un hotel muy bonito, y nos quedamos para celebrar el 30o aniversario de mi hija. Nosotros tres adultos compartiendo una habitación lamentablemente la tercera cama fue una cama de sofá baja que fue muy desapontador considerando el costo de la estancia - había algunas cosas que podrían mejorar ropa y pantalones sólo se proporcionaron para 2 personas - ellos Se suministraron a petición - el tubo caliente en la zona de la terraza de la habitación era sucio como el uno de los dos sofás-, parecía que esta zona había sido olvidada por los limpiadores y se sentía que el hotel no había proporcionado suficientes asientos para los tres de nosotros en la habitación. No hay ningún tren para ropa de baño y toallas de playa para secar, que serían muy útiles."

"We returned to this hotel again and the same high standards prevail. A peaceful setting for a really relaxing visit to Ischia. Delicious food, served expertly, lovely wine and cocktails from Ciro, spotless room service and pool, all helped to make the holiday perfect. The hotel is placed in the centre of the main shopping area Via Roma, but a few minutes walk from the beach with all the bars and loungers you could need. So good, we are returning in September! Highly recommend this hotel."
