"We had just two nights here at the Mare Monte hotel but will definitely return as we would like more time to explore the beautiful island of Ios. The hotel is just a 5 minute walk from the port and Lambros and Katerina were waiting to welcome us. We were offered a choice of rooms, one of which had a small upper floor terrace with fabulous views of the beach. The room has everything you need and was very good value. The hotel is right on the beach and has a pool and beautifully tended gardens. Lambros was very helpful in storing our luggage ahead of our next departure as well as updating on the latest ferry times and pointing us to a useful app for ferry tracking. All in all a great stay on a beautiful island but all too brief. So we’ll just have to come back to the Mare Monte for a longer stay - and in the same room please!"

"Just returned from 6 nights here and this is the best hotel I have ever stayed at! So calm and relaxed, the pool area is lovely, the rooms are super clean - cleaned every day too by lovely maids. Beds at are comfy and room view was amazing. Breakfast was delicious & we had room service once which was great, and ate in the restaurant once - both delicious! All staff were welcoming and went above and beyond for us! Highly recommend!"

"There was a serious ant problem in the room where I stayed. I also spotted bugs in the bathroom twice. Besides that, the room was very dark. It had a bunk bed setup, and the bed wasn't very comfortable. Finally, I had no interaction with the staff other than at check-in and check-out."

"Me hospedé DOS noches en este camping y, sinceramente, han sido las dos peores noches de mi existencia. Para empezar, si mides más de 1,20 m prepárate para caminar agachada cual hobbit, porque en las cabañas/tiendas NO CABES DE PIE. Súmale suciedad, telarañas del tamaño de alfombras persas e insectos que parecen salidos de un documental de la selva. ¿Pero sabes qué es lo mejor? La gente. Si algo tiene este camping, son franceses fiesteros que no te van a dejar dormir ni 5 minutos. Te recomiendo cambiarte de cabaña las veces que haga falta hasta que no tengas ninguno cerca. Es como un bingo infernal, pero con carcajadas, gritos y música toda la noche. Y si crees que pagando más por quedarte en las villas alejadas tendrás algo de descanso… pues no. ¡También fuimos testigos de un padre de familia en recepción pidiendo ABANDONAR el hotel, aun habiéndolo pagado ya! Imagina el nivel de desesperación. Ah, y no te fíes de la web, que dice que a las 11 de la noche hay “silencio total”. ¡JA! Nosotros preguntamos a una señora a qué hora podríamos dormir tranquilos y nos soltó, tan pancha, que “depende de cuándo la gente se quiera ir”. Maravilloso. En resumen: si quieres venir aquí para montarte un festival improvisado durante días sin pegar ojo, este es tu sitio. Si no, hazte un favor y huye bien lejos."

"Stayed 1 night at the Acteon hotel. Rooms are ok standard, but paper thin doors so you basically here everything going on ..... Nice view over the port and 10 steps from the bus to chora/mylopotas beach. So for 1-2 nights stopover it's ok, price too. 60 Euro, in high season. "

"Hotel didnt want to cancel the booking when ferry was cancelled and I cant get on island. Because of this I had to lay twice for 2 ferries and finally reached the island. Location is comfortable. Near ferry station, supermarket, bus station and several bars and cafes"
