Unit 3 is located up an enclosed set of stairs, which offers additional storage for skiing, fishing gear, etc. Each unit has shared access to the yard & fire pit overlooking the river & off street parking for 1 vehicle. Wonderful, location with several local amenities & close to many Adirondack attractions.Centrally, located between Lake Placid & Plattsburgh, NY in the heart of Au Sable Forks on the main road to Wilmington (White Face), & Lake Placid. We’re directly on the East branch of the Au Sable River & walking distance to many things. Including, a shuttle to Lake Placid/Whiteface. Unit 3 is located on the second floor and has 2 large, beautifully decorated bedrooms with views of the AuSable River. Bedroom 1 has a queen bed & bedroom 2 has a full size bed with a twin trundle. The open concept kitchen-living room features stainless steel appliances, butcher block countertops with bar seating, a large pantry with complimentary coffee & tea, a microwave & toaster oven. As well as tons of storage for additional food. The living room area has a 60” smart TV for all your streaming Apps. Each unit has shared access to the yard, which faces the river and features outdoor seating and a fire pit. Firewood, will be provided for your convenience. From the yard you can take the short path down the bank to access the river. This building was originally constructed in the 1900’s & still has some of it’s original charm but has been recently updated.Pets:One small to medium dog (under 50lbs) is allowed in the unit & must be leashed at all times, while outside. Pets are not to be left alone in the apartment unless they are crated or outside during your stay. All poop must be bagged & discarded in the trash bin & we ask that you do not allow your pets on the furniture or to dig holes in the yard. We’re allowing pets on a trial basis in the hopes that people will be respectful. Please, don’t ruin it for others. Located at the end of a 150 foot driveway on a quiet road in “Ausable Acres”, the Cayuga Cabin provides a quiet getaway but is close to all the High Peaks attractions. If a half a dozen cars go by, thats a busy day. Pets are welcome.The Cayuga Cabin comes completely furnished for any length stay - full kitchen with great cookware, dishwasher and clothes washer/dryer, gas grill and even a whirlpool tub, located in the main bath, are on the premises. Two TV’s with cable make the Cayuga Cabin very family friendly. There are two bedrooms on the main floor, one with a queen, the other a double. There are two singles in the loft. Second full bath is in the basement. The Cayuga Cabin is a 5 minute walk to fishing access in the renowned West Branch of the Ausable River and 20 minutes to Whiteface Mountain, Santa’s Workshop and High Falls Gorge. The Olympic Village of Lake Placid is less than 25 minutes as is Ausable Chasm – the nation’s oldest natural attraction. Montreal, Quebec and Burlington, Vermont are easy day trips. The finest hiking, biking, fishing, canoeing and cross-country skiing in the High Peaks are all at your fingertips. When you come home from a day of Adirondack adventure relax on the spacious deck or in the whirlpool tub. Within the Ausable Acres development you have access to several hiking and cross-country skiing trails, tennis courts and the Lake Eaton Picnic & Playground area. The Acres has a lake, miles of trails for hiking or cross-country skiing and a picnic pavilion area. For fisherpersons, there is access to the Ausable river less than two miles away. Within three miles is a Top’s Supermarket, Stewart’s Gas and Convenience store, movie theatre, pizzeria and liquor store.The interior of the cabin is constructed with tongue and groove knotty pine throughout. The bedroom has a new queen size log bed. The bathroom is newly remodeled. There is a sitting area with a wood stove, kitchen, dining area, a desk with ample room for writing in your journal or laptop and an area with comfy chairs for just relaxing. The home has a three-zone electric heating system, so a wood fire is optional. There are two USB charging stations and high-speed internet. The kitchen has an electric cooktop, oven, microwave, refrigerator, toaster, coffee maker, electric tea kettle, dishes and lots of cookware that allow our guests to prepare a home cooked meal or breakfast.
