All the comforts of home, directly on the AuSable River! This 19th century building has 4 units, high ceilings, & tons of natural light. Unit 1 is located on the 1st floor. Each unit has shared access to the front yard, private fire pits overlooking the river & assigned off street parking space in the driveway for your vehicle. Wonderful, location with several local amenities & close to many Adirondack attractions.Centrally, located between Lake Placid & Plattsburgh, NY in the heart of Au Sable Forks on the main road to Wilmington (White Face), & Lake Placid. We’re directly on the East branch of the Au Sable River & walking distance to many things. Including, a shuttle to Lake Placid/Whiteface. Unit 1 is located on the first floor and has 2 beautifully decorated bedrooms & one office. Bedroom 1 has a double bed. The second bedroom is slightly smaller & also has a full size bed. The third room has a desk & daybed. The large living room/dining room features a comfortable sofa and love seat with a flat screen smart TV over a non working fireplace. Complimentary, coffee & tea is also available on the coffee bar. All units have an assigned off street parking space for 1 vehicle. Each unit has shared access to the yard, which faces the river and features outdoor seating and a fire pit. Firewood, will be provided for your convenience. From the yard you can take the short path down the bank to access the river. This building was originally constructed in the 1900’s & still has some of it’s original charm but has been recently updated.One small to medium dog (under 50lbs) is allowed in the unit & must be leashed at all times, while outside. Pets are not to be left alone in the apartment unless they are crated or outside during your stay. All poop must be bagged & discarded in the trash bin & we ask that you do not allow your pets on the furniture or to dig holes in the yard. It is a ranch-style home with a cathedral-ceiling great room that comprises a full kitchen and living area. A master bedroom (queen bed) plus two full bathrooms complete the ground level dwelling. There is a down-stairs living area that is comprised of a large bed-room that hosts a queen size bed, a futon (pull out full size bed) and an amish made rocker. Stairs leading to the downstairs bed-room/living area are complete with log rails & log gate for safety. Mountain Home has a covered porch with comfortable Adirondack Chairs plus an open deck to relax outdoors. There is an outdoor grill (bring your own charcoal) and fire pit (please keep fires small and contained). An outdoor hose is available. Soft sandy ground easily tracks through the home so please, we ask that you remove your shoes upon entering. Water is safe to drink. Septic system on property can handle toilet paper only. The Mountain Home is cleaned with all natural cleaners by (PUR Evergreen) products, Milliken, Co. Ausable Acres is a quiet neighborhood. Evening quiet hours are in place from 10pm to 7am. . As such, we have the expectation that our guests will honor the peace & quiet of the surrounding area.
