Luxurious Riverfront Log Cabin located directly on the banks of the Frying Pan River. The Guest Cabin is located on the same property as Lodge at River's Edge and consists of a fully equipped kitchen, living room with cable TV and wireless internet, a bedroom with a queen bed and an open air loft with two twin beds. There is also a pull out sofa in the Living Room. The cabin was originally built by Colorado Midland Railroad workers in 1896, it was restored a century later in 1996. The cabin was renovated again in 2005 and 2015 . The cabin is decorated in an elegant mountain style and includes luxurious linens, comfy robes, down pillows, radiant in-floor heating, fireplace and all the amenities you would expect at a nice hotel. The sliding glass door opens up to the views and sounds of the Frying Pan River rushing by. The cabin guests' are welcome to fish on the Frying Pan River in front of the cabin and also upriver towards the main lodge.The cabin interior was recently with a gorgeous custom staircase to the loft. It's an easy walk to the Frying Pan river and the Roaring Fork River- enjoy Basalt's world class Gold Medal Fly Fishing waters. Just 21 minutes to amazing skiing at Aspen, Snowmass , Highlands and Buttermilk. There is an A/C unit upstairs.This 3000 square foot log cabin home sleeps 7: It has 3 bedrooms- a king master with en suite bath is located on the main level. If you rent a car you do not have to worry about snow as you have a designated underground parking spot. On days we ski Aspen mountain, we typically valet at The Little Nell, and have a Apres ski cocktail and have our ticket validated, which makes it quite reasonable to park at the very base of the mountain. It is a terrific place to people watch and relax before heading back to our little sanctuary.
