The Starlight Poolside is a stylish suite in the lower level of my detached house in Coquitlam's Ranch Park area. The oversized sliding doors overlook the pool area. It is peaceful to look out on, and there are sheers to allow privacy if wished. The area is a great hub for all lower mainland attractions. Many enjoy poolside time before or after a day of sightseeing. POOL IS OPEN JUNE THROUGH SEPTEMBER. The outdoor area has a table/chairs, barbeque and 2 lounger chairs allocated for the poolside suite. The pool is heated and ready for use June through September. There is no fencing between the entrance door and the pool, and there are side yard stairs to the entrance from the gravel driveway. The poolside suite is not suitable for children, or people unable to climb stairs for these reasons.Inside the newly built suite, you will notice the open floorplan, quartz countertop eating bar area, microwave, induction cooktop, and a large Breville toaster oven. (There is no stove/oven) There are plenty of dishes and cooking utensils available. The gorgeous floor to ceiling tile spa-like bathroom has a nice soaker tub for the needed evening relaxation! Dim down the crystal lights! Large sliders open to the pool deck, for a tranquil view. No need to think about bringing towels, pool towels, soap, shampoo, etc...as all are provided here.The bedroom has a large king bed, which can be split and I can make into 2 twin xl beds! Let me know ahead of time. The mattresses are super comfortable, and guests have said that the suite is very quiet! Nice. The 'safe and sound insulation' that I put in works!Wifi and Netflix are provided, along with cable channels, which can be watched on the 32" flat screen tv.There could be others in the backyard at the same time as you. Times in the pool can be put on a sign up board, so private pool time can be enjoyed easily. The pool is open and heated June through September.At the end of my street, Starlight Way, is a bus stop which will bring you down to the Coquitlam Centre Mall and Evergreen Line (skytrain). If you drive, it is 5 minutes away. Walking maybe 15-20 minutes, but longer coming back as I am on a hill! You may wish to take a quick cab ride up, or take the transit bus. The skytrain or the West Coast Express train will take you right into Vancouver. Both are a great way to travel. Coquitlam is about a 20 minute drive to Vancouver. Maybe 30 minutes right to downtown, providing traffic is good.There are many lakes, and hiking trails around. If you wish to be out for a bbq in the park, let me know. THE FULL RENOVATIONS ARE NOW COMPLETE!The Starlight Suite offers a licensed fully-furnished two-bedroom apartment unit, walk-out basement suite, with it's own separtate entrance in my detached house. The shared and heated POOL IS OPEN JUNE THROUGH SEPTEMBER. The Starlight Suite is in a fantastic residential area of Coquitlam, called Ranch Park, and is about a 25 minute drive to Vancouver, BC. There are two twin-beds in one of the bedrooms, and a queen-bed in the master bedroom. The suite sleeps four comfortably, however, there is a double sofa bed plus a single roll-away bed available for up to seven staying in a pinch. There is free high speed wifi.The living room, with an electric fireplace is open to the fully-equipped kitchen area, and both offer all the amenities of home. There is a full bathroom, plus a shared laundry room area. Also included in your stay, cable television with Netflix on a 51” flat screen. In the summer, if needed, I do also have a portable air conditioner which can be set up.There is off street parking available in the driveway for 2 cars (I have seen some have 3 there). The driveway is right near the front door, without steps, Which is great for guests with mobility issues.There is access to the locked shared yard, with the large pool and swingset. Adult supervision is required for children as there is no supervision provided and no fence again between the playground and pool. There is a designated table and chairs, barbecue and lounge chairs for guests in the 2 bedroom suite. The pool is shared, and for everyone’s enjoyment and safety, a sign up board is near the pool to book 1 hour time slots throughout the day, as others may wish to use the pool. The pool is open and heated June through September.We are close to the Coquitlam Town Centre where there is the Coquitlam Centre Mall, West Coast Express, Evergreen skytrain station and many shops and restaurants. All are within a 6 minute drive. There is a bus stop about a 7 minute walk away which can take you to or from the Coquitlam Town Centre. You could walk down, but as we are in a hill you will want to take a vehicle back to the suite.The suite has been extremely popular since 2003 as a great place for persons or families that are between buying and selling homes, vacationing in the area, visiting nearby family and friends, and insurance claims of fire and damage.
