"Have no idea what people find wrong with this hotel, perfect as only 5 min walk to the dock area with all the bars and restaurants and a couple of small supermarkets, please remember this is not the mainland so no large supermarkets, but prices still good. Back to the hotel the Staff were great and friendly, rooms perfect, remember your only sleeping here it’s not your home. Cleaned every day and spotless, balcony is small but lovely to sit out on. There was a good size fridge and the best supply I’ve ever had off hot water for washing anytime of the day lovely hot water. Only one little thing, they do not have a lift, they have a small internal luggage lift but not to be used by guests. There are a lot of stairs, from the front of the hotel up to reception is a large flight of steep steps. But it’s a hilly island so you won’t find a lot of flat land, if you’re not great on your feet or don’t like steps this might not be the right island for you. The island is amazing but only has one issue, getting around, there is no public transport at all, there are taxis but super expensive airport to this hotel €60 I understand why as it’s not a easy island to get round. I would suggest hiring a car the roads are very good, but don’t trust google maps. Plenty of hire car firms, mine met me off my flight the day I arrived. You could go local and hire a moped also, very popular. So to sum it up great island, great people and great hotel. Enjoy."

"We recharge our batteries every year at the Hotel Skala on Patmos. We have found the hotel to be a perfect platform to enjoy all the the island has to offer. The hotel's ideal location, near the lively port yet stepped back through a peaceful bougainvilla garden with sea water pool, is a key to enjoy the real Patmos paradise of blue sky and transparent water, white roofs and endless beaches with spectacular sunsets. Add a wide choice of good food and activities ranging from its legendary monastery to its late night clubs up the hill at Chora. We find the Skala Hotel's friendly and efficientg staff to be a special plus , from the first day welcome throughout the stay. Rooms are comfortable, and impeccably clean. The daily breakfast buffet is generous and a true delight to start the day on the calm terrace. We stayed for two weeks this summer and we aim to add a third week next year!"

The staff were genuinely warm and welcoming, always ready to help with a smile. The location was perfect for exploring Ikaria, and we would happily stay here again. Highly recommended!"

The hotel's prime location, just 100 meters from the beach and thermal springs, and 200 meters from restaurants and bars, made it incredibly convenient. The patio and bar were also great spots to unwind. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a peaceful and enjoyable stay in Ikaria."

"Atenas el host es igualmente delicioso. Ella nos recogió a mediodía del ferry aunque es un paseo de 5 minutos que sería complicado a las 12:00. El desayuno griego es fresco y bueno. Las habitaciones son muy limpias y hermosas. Podríamos ver el sol y el océano de nuestras dobles puertas y balcón. La ubicación es perfecta. Hemos viajado toda la isla. Salimos esta noche a las 10:00 y los propietarios nos permiten mantener nuestra habitación. Esta isla es tan tranquila. Las playas son hermosas como las vistas sagradas"

"We found the hotel manager to be extremely helpful and accommodating to our every request! The hotel was clean, and the room was spacious and welcoming. Breakfast was truly inviting: every morning there was something different to complement the usual offerings. The hotel manager was always ready to refill the buffet trays, ensuring we never lacked anything, and the desserts were truly delicious. Parking for our rental car was very convenient, and the directions and suggestions for places to visit that Manos, the hotel manager, offered were very helpful. So, I really give this hotel top marks!"
