"Decidí escribir nuestra experiencia personal para este alojamiento en particular porque su trato era muy inaceptable, la apatía que mostraba y la falta de inclinación a servir como corresponde al puesto correspondiente de recepción y reservas (en mi opinión, eso siempre me dejó sin margen). Para empezar desde el principio, vemos el alojamiento concreto vía booking, nos gusta y decidimos ponernos en contacto con ellos para hacer la reserva (que afortunadamente para nosotros no estaba disponible para las 4 noches sino solo para 2), así que Procedemos a la reserva por teléfono, pero nos parece mejor reservarla a través de una plataforma a 77€ la noche y no por teléfono que salía a 86€. Entonces procedemos a la reserva a través de la plataforma, recibimos un número de confirmación, y el importe total que se cargó en nuestra tarjeta, y nos comunicamos por escrito con la señora que hizo la reserva telefónica para informarle que cancele la reserva por teléfono. porque lo reservamos desde sitio... Nos dice que no tienes reserva, habla con el sitio donde hiciste la reserva, buen día (independientemente de que le envié el comprobante de reserva, con el nombre del hotel, cargo de tarjeta, etc ella tenía su propia cinta, entonces mi esposo decide contactarlos y ver que pasa, después de comunicarnos con ellos, responde la misma señora que nos escribía por mensajes, mi esposo pregunta: ¿Ves la reserva específica? Él dice que sí, se ha hecho, ¿quieres algo más? ¿Entonces nos estás contando todo esto durante tanto tiempo? Su respuesta no tenemos nada más que decir... Buenos días. Lamento mucho que tal la gente tiene esa posición. P. C evita reservar las habitaciones tipo loft porque loft = (si no sabes como nosotros quién la pisó) ella es tan baja que desde el momento en que entras a la habitación, tienes que estar agachado o tumbado, y en la zona de la ducha (sin tocar..) Sólo la señora de la limpieza fue muy amable, sonriente y buena en su trabajo. Con un cordial saludo, María y Michalis."

"We really enjoyed the hotel! It was very clean and cozy, and having the kitchenette area was an extra convenience. The staff was very helpful. The only complaint was the mattress was a little thin, but we are spoiled by American mattresses, so take that information any way you want. :) Excellent value overall."

"The hotel is close to good beaches, such as Mesakti, also convenient is the fact that it has parking, rare for Ikaria.. Clean with super comfortable mattress and pillows, I had such a good sleep! It also has a wonderful well-kept yard with flowers and greenery, sea view with a beautiful balcony in the room, pool for swimming-drinking-relaxing. The only thing I didn't enjoy enough was the breakfast, the buffet had a lot of variety but I can't forget the dry slices of bread or even slices of toast without any other bread as I managed one day.. the breakfast was not worth it for 20 euros a day for the couple, but in all the rest it is worth it and I highly recommend it"

"When I arrived at the port of Agios Kyrikos there were no taxis available because they were all at the airport. There I was, completely stranded in a strange place, and no idea how I was going to be able to get my luggage to an hotel, on a hill. Lady luck smiled on me and a delightful Swedish family, who were hiring a car, offered to drive me to my hotel. I will forever be grateful to George who took me and carried my luggage up the stairs into the hotel for me. Before this point, I was beginning to feel that I had made a mistake choosing this place. However the wonderful staff at the hotel, made me feel so welcome - we ended up having lots of long chats. Georgia, Toti and Olibia for manager needs to value you, because as the front of house staff you make this hotel work! Great recommendations for things to do, restaurants to visit. calling taxis and just making life easier for you visitors and me in particular have been very appreciated. Then there's Therma that you recommended. I loved it there too and it made such a difference to the pains that I suffered at Athens airport on arrival. I cannot thank you enough for making my time at Kastro so happy and enjoyable."

"We visited Ikaria for the first time. It was a dream trip. Kerame is one of the few accessible hotels on the island. But not all facilities are accessible... I did like the view, near the center, I did like the staff and the owner, they were polite, even though we had an argument. I didn't like that I chose that hotel for the pool (for the windy days), and the wheelchair couldn't reach this space. I also couldn't go with the wheelchair to the breakfast area."

"Having travelled extensively in Greece we can say this was the best accommodation of its type we have experienced. We were there for 3 nights only and it was joyous. It was unusual, but exceptional, in terms of building and concept and our suite had absolutely stunning views to Samos, Fournoi and Patmos. The pool was a welcome and excellent bonus. Our breakfasts were outstanding. Shower had good pressure. Wi-Fi good. Room had a fan and air con. Room was beautifully dressed. And, it would be remiss not to comment upon the warm, welcoming and most excellent contribution of Eri the complex ‘manager’ who simply could not have been more generous with her time and helpful. There is nothing to dislike about this accommodation. However, the ‘village’ is a fair way ‘up’ and whilst it is walkable down to Agios and back ( we did it twice in one day) it is a struggle. Certainly I wouldn’t want to lug suitcases up there and it isn’t for those with mobility issue. And don’t try it in high heels ! Taxis can be booked (€5 one way) to/from Agios and the harbour but are difficult to get at night and so you if you go down in the evening be prepared to struggle back up. However, food can be easily ordered ( from 3+ restaurants in. Agios) and will be delivered to your accommodation’s door. Ikarian wine, Ikarian beers and bottled water can be bought from reception. If you stay for any length of time you probably need a car."
