Petra Mare

So we stayed here for 7 nights in August as a family of 15, age ranges 2-78 and wow did it cater for all of us. We arrived late at night and was quickly checked in, food available in the restaurant. The hotel was so clean and modern, great sized room for one adult and two teenage boys with a divider door. The food was probably the best I’ve ever had at an all inclusive. Great variety and small portions cooked fresh. It may mean that you may have to wait a few minutes as massive portions wasn’t always put out. Cocktails were also lovely and fairly strong, even aperol spritz included. Pool areas again very clean and the splash pool was great for the little ones. Water polo takes place in the pool in the afternoons. Always plenty of sunbeds available although we did get there early as there was a big group of us. The beach which was attached to the hotel was lovely. Again lots of sunbeds and umbrellas at no extra charge. A beach bar on the beach which you could use as part of the all inclusive. The sea was so calm and clear and would definitely recommend taking snorkels as there were lots of fish. Paddleboards and jet skis available at extra cost. I can’t really comment on the kids clubs or evening entertainment as we didn’t use this and preferred to sit outside and play games/cards. There was always lots of areas to sit in the evenings. We ate at the seaview restaurant one night which again was lovely, would definitely recommend the lamb. We checked out late in the evening so used the courtesy rooms to shower. Again lovely and clean and no extra charge. Overall we had a lovely time and would 100% recommend. If I had to be really picky and find a negative it would be : *transfer time is quite long (80minutes) *drinks wasn’t included in the themed restaurants (I’ve never known this before) *the view from the Mountain View room was awful….. take from that what you will x

Huge thank you to Petra Mare Hotel for making my 40th celebrations so special . Special mention to Maria on reception for liaising with my Husband to order a cake, balloons and flowers. The set up was absolutely lovely on the evening of my birthday . We had a lovely stay. Would highly recommend for families. Rooms and clean and tidy and the food is ample. Also a special mention to the Captain and his beautiful Niece for all the amazing water sports available and at such a reasonable price. We loved it all. Crete is beautiful, we hope to return to explore more of this beautiful island 🩵 xxx

Lovely hotel covering a large area. Food was brilliant with numerous different options for all meals. There was also a large vegan option at all meal times even though I am not vegan myself. So many options. Rooms were adequate and comfortable all with free security boxes and air con. Rooms cleaned daily and cannot complain about cleanliness. Several bars during day and evening and surprisingly many premium drinks were on the all inclusive. They also have several free cocktails if that is your thing, Location is on the edge of town, so it is a walk to amenities, which caused us a problem as the temperature was very high until late evening. However it is well worth the walk along the promenade. The pools were surprisingly good with the main pool being an infinity pool. There was all day entertainment, but the evenings are mainly about children so there is not a lot for adults. We had one fire and LED evening during the two weeks which was good. The entertainment team work hard to keep the clients happy and overall the hotel is one of the better ones we have stayed in.

We had an amazing stay at Petra Mare Hotel! The staff in every area were incredibly kind, helpful, and professional. The hotel is large, spotlessly clean, beautifully designed, and very well organized. The food was delicious with plenty of variety, and the facilities—especially the pools and beach access—made everything perfect. Highly recommended for a relaxing and luxurious stay in Crete! Very good hotel with stunning views on the sea or mountains. It's located actually right on the beach, two steps and you are there. Hotel room was big, cosy and very comfortable. Additional couch let us drink coffe feeling like at home. The bathroom was great. Shower such big and comfortable that easily 3 people could shower at the same time. Rooms and bathroom were clean. The furniture and bath equipment looked good. Food was very various, delicious, prepared in a visible space. We had such a great time in the hotel. It's perfect location for families with kids. The kids infrastracture is very good, a lot of places for them to play and have fun. The swimming pool infinity - type was amazing. I couldn't decide what was better - to watch the sea being in the pool or watching the mountains and city being in the sea. Both views stunning. Important thing as well is the check in - took 3 minutes. Appreciate it especially after few hours of trip. In general the whole staff was always ready to help and supportive. Holidays in that hotel was a great experience and I want to come back there again. I will recomend it to everyone as that place deserves it.

We stayed here with friends and families. What can I say: cleanliness is good, the variety of food is huge and good ( even tough the last day I felt sick and dont know whether the reason was food or not), however it was different every day and tasty. For children there are different pools and activities. The hotel area is not so big, which is bad and it was almost crowded in the afternoon especially beside the pools. The water temperature in pools was low I suppose because it was cold, especially the wind always blows there. I should also say thanks to the hotel administration for upgrading our room, as well as for birthday cakes and more.
