Came in to the tearooms to have a nice lunch whilst doing other trips around the area, I was met by a friendly team of Linda and Colin, very helpful and knew the menu well. The place was tidy and the vibe was pleasant and calming Linda was welcoming and nothing was too much trouble, Colin was chatty and made you feel valued as a customer! Definitely a great team very professional! I had a roast dinner which was lovely and came in 15 minutes. The meal was delivered by a young man and he was very polite. Very nice experience

Stayed in the old hall for our "mini-moon". The hotel is perfectly placed for a peak district break and hope is a pretty and welcoming village. The welcome fully extends to the old hall staff who were lovely and very happy to help and chat. Breakfast from the adjoining cafe was particularly good and the ladies serving it particularly lovely. All in all a happy time spent.

Lovely old pub, log fires, friendly staff, fab music, great ale, and a fantastic Steak and Ale pie! Possibly the best pie I’ve ever had, full of steak, and the pastry was spot on. The barman recommended me Hendersons Relish with my meal - hadn’t heard of it before - great choice though! Chips were good too - Will definitely be back.

Probably the most over rated pub I've ever been in. I had the 'sh1t old pie' or whatever the cr4p is called. Lumps of fatty cheap cut beef with beer slops gravy from customers glasses I imagine, surrounded by mush veg. Friend had a lump of chicken with tasteless gravy and pieces of toe nail we guessed. Much amusement however witnessing the walking EGO owner Rik. who strutted about making not very funny witty comments to customers who all thought he was a twa t.

After last eaten here over 2 years ago (last time I was in Hope), we decided to eat at the Old Hall and was welcomed by friendly staff and a cozy environment. The starters and mains were gorgeous and would recommend to anyone. I loved the burger.

Honestly the best pub food I can remember having. All six of us were really impressed with every dish we had. Burgers, fried chicken wings, baked potatoes, salads were all so well prepared, fresh and tasty. They even had kimchi which the Koreans amongst us rated well - not an easy achievement, believe me. Beyond the food a really good atmosphere , excellent staff and good beer.

I’ve called here a couple of times for a drink when I’ve been out and about photographing and it’s a really friendly place and the food always looks good. So my wife and i decided to go for dinner with our son and daughter in law and our 7 week old granddaughter. From walking in it was really friendly just like I’d seen before and a warm welcome. And just as i thought the food was stunning, we all had different meals and everyone was absolutely perfect, we will definitely be returning that’s for sure. Great friendly service, great beer and great food 100% from us.

We have loved the Old Hall for years - but tonight there was nothing really available on the menus apart from fish and chips and burgers - very disappointing as normally fantastic - I have noticed that they are selling a head chef so maybe this is the reason

Hope Tea Rooms Stood at the counter waiting to be served but initially ignored by staff while they stood around and chatted. Asked what was vegan, she mentioned breakfast but then said it wasn't available as it was after 1130 (by 2 minutes) so the only option was a vegan sausage roll which hubby said was ok. I also had a sausage roll and it was nice enough, as was the coffee. After a long walk i had been dying for a scone so what i got was disappointing. A very small scone which was stale and mainly fruit with no scone, it was very dense and tasted of pure sugar. Definitely go elsewhere if you want a nice cream tea.
