"The hotel is by the sea. It’s quite enjoyable to stay there. Although the hotel opened in 1975, everything is still quite okay. The staff were very helpful and responsive to guests. When my wife and I got to the room, my wife was unsatisfied with the bathroom light and the bugs, the staff understood me and helped us solve the problem."

"The hotel itself is better than expected; You can tell that they went through a massive renovation in order to give a chill vibes based stay (on the outside). Inside of the room, it’s definitely an old hotel… I liked the furniture, but the windows were too open for my liking (you get the feeling that anyone can look into your room); Not as much of an issue since we used the curtains! The bath towels were covered in hair (ranging from long strands to tiny ***** pieces) which I found to be disgusting. The staff were more than willing to switch out the towels (there was still hair on them but a little dusting off mainly did the job). There was tiny ***** hair pieces in the bathtub as well, but I washed them down the drain so no biggie. The main issue that I had with this stay was that you could hear everything that was going on in rooms next door or outside. We heard loud screaming and fighting into the early ams, and it took a while for them to stop. This is not the hotel’s fault, but if you do stay here, keep in mind that the rooms aren’t very spacious, you can hear everything, and there might be hair in your towels. Overall, I really loved staying here and found it to be quite charming. The view in front of the hotel is INSANE. Though I listed negative traits about this hotel, I feel that it’s important to give some transparency to readers of this review. Mostly everyone goes into a hotel thinking that it’s 1000% clean and perfect. However, for me, the negative reviews are what I look for so that I know what to expect. You will definitely love the vibes and views this hotel has to offer, as well as the friendliness of the staff who worlds here."

"The most disappointing accommodation in this trip. I checked in late and it took me a long time to call the receptionist. The room has no air conditioning and the breakfast is not delicious. It is said to have a sea view, but the location is close and the sea cannot be seen in the room. There is no place to have breakfast. As you can see, the appearance of the room looks good in the picture, but from a close look it lacks maintenance and is unpopular. Booked based on ratings, not reliable."

"Es un gran lugar debido a la asequibilidad. Fue un fin de semana ocupado y no podíamos conseguir una habitación mejor. Nuestra habitación no tenía la brisa del océano. Nos ahorramos el estacionamiento y todas las luces brillantes del edificio a lo largo de toda la noche. Las curtains no lo bloquearon. Así que estaba feliz con la habitación misma. "I recently stayed at SCP Hilo and, overall, I found the experience to be underwhelming. While the service was decent, there were several drawbacks that made the stay less than ideal. The hotel is located very close to the airport, so noise from early-morning flights was constant and began as early as 4AM. On top of that, many guests were leaving for early flights, which meant lots of door-slamming and hallway noise at all hours. The room itself was quite small and dated, with no real view—just a window that looked into the interior courtyard. Unfortunately, this compromised both privacy and quiet, as anyone walking by could see directly into the room. One major downside was the additional daily "amenities fee," which felt excessive considering the limited offerings. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel, especially if you’re looking for a peaceful or private stay."

"¡Aquí está el hotel! El cuidador me conoce bien después de entrar a la puerta (se han dado instrucciones claras y simples) para ayudarme a conseguir mis portales, llevar mis 2 portales a mi habitación y llevarme a mi habitación. En el cuarto de baño, cocina y espacios compartidos, me gusta la simplicidad y la limpieza, pero me da mi espacio. Y para esta reserva de última hora que se convirtió en un verdadero tesoro para mí como un espacio introvertido, limpieza y simplicidad. Mahalo & May ke Akua bendig U siempre!"
