El hotel está muy cerca del aeropuerto de Heathrow, lo cual es muy conveniente si tienes que coger un vuelo al día siguiente, ¡lo más importante es que no es caro! ¡Similar a los Home Inn nacionales! Traiga sus propios artículos de tocador y pantuflas ya que el hotel no los proporciona. Lo más importante es que hay un autobús desde el aeropuerto hasta el hotel 🚌 6,7 libras, pero hubo un problema con mi tarjeta bancaria y no tomé el autobús, luego descubrí que Uber es algo bueno 😎

Muy bien...está justo en la terminal T4, ni siquiera tienes que salir de la terminal, solo sigues las indicaciones y pasas por un paso elevado. Especialmente indicado para viajeros que llegan de noche o salen a la mañana siguiente. Llegué por la noche, me registré, me acosté inmediatamente para deshacerme del desfase horario y me desperté al día siguiente lleno de energía y la habitación estaba muy tranquila. El desayuno no está mal, la clave es el precio económico. En comparación con los hoteles urbanos, la relación precio/rendimiento es excelente. Además, este hotel comparte el mismo lobby con el Crowne Plaza y las habitaciones también están conectadas. La diferencia puede ser el tamaño de la habitación.

Mercure London Heathrow - Saturday 19th November 2022 - 15:15 Entrance is on street level door and has automatic doors. On arrival there was a coach party queuing and the queue went out the main door. I joined that queue and eventually checked in approximately 20 minutes after I joined the queue. The male receptionist seemed flustered and the female receptionist didn’t seem to be doing much. I’ve checked into other hotels where I have been part of a coach group and they normally make us all stand to one side and then call individuals/ couple over to check in; that way when other guest arrive at least one of the receptionist can switch to the new guest and then they don’t have to join a long queue and be inconvenienced. Our room was on the ground floor but I did see lifts. Room: The usual things like a hairdryer, iron in the wardrobe, fridge and safe in a cupboard and on top of the cabinet was the coffee/ tea facilities but no spoons to stir your drinks. Big TV - there seem to be a decent amount of channels my only issue was the back of the control was missing so you had to jiggle the batteries to get it to work; I took a photo just in case they try to charge me for damage. Bed was comfy, pillows were ok. There is a lamp and spotlight either side of the bed. The switch on the wall by the bed operates the main light, you switch the lamp/ spotlight off using two black buttons under the arm of the lamp; not an obvious way to control the light. A desk with lamp and phone, quite handy if you have some work to do. Bathroom: Floors a bit weird, it looks like they have stuck some Christmas paper over the original tiles to cover something up, poor workmanship, looks cheap, not a good look. Usual towels and shampoos and things; I was going to use the bath mat in the shower but when I saw how dirty and stained it was I didn’t bother. The sealant around the sink and bath taps needs redoing and there is rust around the bathroom taps. Toilet handle is a bit loose and it took 3 attempts to get it to flush. Parking: There are two levels to the parking, I drove into the top level, very tight parking and for a hotel of this size there isn’t enough spaces. I informed the reception I’d parked my car and was informed of the £16 charge for 24 hours. I paid my fee and entered my registration on a system. Bar: Small bar but plenty of seating. We asked a member of staff at what time the bar closed and we were told last orders were at 22:45 which would imply if you went to the bar at this time you could still get a drink. At 22:40 they were cashing up the till. Initially when you walk in the room it looks really nice but then you notice the faults. This morning I went to get something from the car and as I walked through reception you could see the tables from last night hadn’t been cleared as they still had glasses on tables from last night. El servicio al cliente fue excelente. Mucho paciencia en proporcionar información. He encontrado la habitación caliente por la noche porque sólo hay un confortante, pero no una hoja. No lo entiendo. ¿Eso eran tan fuertes como los clientes? La ubicación no está cerca de restaurantes o tiendas. Pero el servicio de autobús es muy conveniente. Tomamos un autobús al aeropuerto. Tomamos también un autobús a la mall de Oxbridge.it tenía muchas actividades, restaurantes y tiendas.

Overall, room size good, clean and reasonably comfortable. Location for airport users decent. However, service leaves much to be desired. I understand there are 4 star hotels (e.g. Novotel on Stevens in Singapore is an example of how good things could be) and '4 star hotels' (e.g. like the Crowne Plaza in question) and thus I wasn't expecting the service level of a Sofitel or Marriott but I was still surprised at how bad things were. List form given there were multiple (admittedly small with the exception of point 2) aggravating issues: 1. A staff member stood and watched as I struggled with bags upon getting out of the car. A friendly nod, but no help. 2. The receptionist was particularly dire. She saw my travel rucksack, decided I was apparently a only a poor backpacker and possibly not deserving of respect, and treated me as such. I would like to apologise on record here for encroaching upon her time. Given this is only the Crowne Plaza I wasn't expecting anything fawning or particularly deferential, but the overt disdain and hostility was particularly evident. Even if I were a backpacker, I still deserved basic respect as a human being. It would be more prudent for the staff to understand that should they want to act like they are entitled to a certain level of customer, the product on offer should probably match that expectation in the first place. 3. No soap. No shampoo. Just empty bottles. 4. Biscuit wrappers strewn on the floor of the lift. 5. I called down for help with the bags upon my departure. The staff member who came up had no trolley. It had to be explained to him that perhaps a trolley would be helpful. So he sauntered slowly down to get it. Meanwhile, my taxi was waiting. Waiting. A little common sense may have been ideal there. I don't usually write reviews and in fact usually read them with a raised eye-brow, as I think a lot of people tend to expect six star service on a two star price point, and I also have a significant amount of sympathy for public-facing workers, given how entitled and plainly lacking in common sense so many customers seem to be. Despite this, my experience at this hotel was simply so poor that I just had to do something - and writing a review is probably healthier than dressing down that receptionist, which was what I truly wanted to do.
