Villaggio Boutique Hotel Hersonissos - Adults Only

Hotel’s staff are really friendly and helpful. Hotel is quite new, and worth the price we paid. Location is a short drive from town, and there are some nearby eateries. Breakfast spread is good and the roof terrace has a good view. Room is spacious and bed is comfortable. But it can do with a luggage stand.

This hotel is relatively new and the facilities are up to date, with good beds and modern bathrooms, good water pressure and warm water 24/7. Most of the rooms only have the one entrance, which means that you enter by the terrace where other people walk by, and have no privacy unless you keep the curtains drawn --＞ getting no light in the room. The front office manager is helpful, but the hotel is overbooked, people are shuffeled around between rooms during the stay, and there is no backup room in case of emergencies (in peak season). There is also a major lack of staff, to keep the hotel (july 2023). During our stay cleaning only happened when going to the reception and specifically asking for it. Another guest had no follow up, when broken glass was reported in a personal pool. The hotel IS NOT in walking distance to the beach. Most guests paid 10-12 Euro for a taxi to and from the beach, and no bus service towards Heraklion. Outside the peak season, the hotel will work well. Just make sure you book a room with a balcony (not terrace) or personal pool. That way you get a traditional hotel room with an enterance and a door to your balcony. The little village a few hundre meters from the hotel, is lovely with good restaurants and friendly shop ovners.

We had one week holiday in Hersonissos where we stayed at Villagio. My expectations were excedeed. We wanted a quiet and relaxing holiday, away from work, noise and so on, and that is exactly what we got. The hotel is nice and modern, and the staff is amazing. The room was big and comfortable, and everything was working perfectly. We had breakfast included. There were plenty of choices, from fruits and vegetables to different kinds of bread, eggs, cereals, pastry products and different kinds of coffee and juices. It is true that the hotel is not next to the beach, but that wasn’t an inconvenience for us, because it was really easy to get a taxi for 10 euros. We were happy not to stay at a hotel near the beach, close to the crowded areas. A nice part of our holiday was the old center of Hersonissos that offers different places to eat, shops and a relaxing walk between the small houses. It was the perfect holiday, and it was a bit hard to come back to the everyday life after such a relaxing week. Many many thanks to Maria, Marina and Georgia. They have made our stay so pleasant where you definetly feel spoiled.

Nice hotel with the friendliest staff. We had half board, which we do not recommend. Breakfast is fine but never on time, but dinner is really poor - far below what I expect from 4 star hotels. The staff is really friendly and helpful. We will return but without the dinner option. It is necessary to rent a car to go to beach.

The service was top class, cannot fault any of the staff for how they treated us (particularly the women at the pool bar and the reception staff). We got the standard room as the private pool rooms were sold out however we did not feel at a disadvantage at all. Our room was amazing, so spacious, beautifully decorated and airy. There was also a pool upstairs with more than enough sun beds and space. The only improvement point would be regarding our dinners - the selection wasn’t very expansive and we also had to pay for water which was free at breakfast.Other than this small issue, it would definitely be 5/5! Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend!

Just got back from a week at the villaggio hotel, we had such a relaxing time here. We had a room with a private pool, the bed was so comfty, the room was spacious, the private pool was a delight. The staff were very friendly, the food and general atmosphere of this hotel was very good. The location was ideal for us as it was quiet and just a few minutes walk away was a selection of taverns. Would definitely recommend staying here we loved it!

My wife and I chosed the Villaggio Boutique Hotel for a relaxing weekend on our business trip in Greece and we were not disappointed. The hotel is a new and modern (Boutique) hotel where we had chosen a room with a large terrace with chairs and table and sea view, as an alternative we could have also chosen one with a private swimming pool on the terrace and the extra cost was not that much. The room is very modern, not overly furnished, in the bathroom I often say that here you can see the quality of the hotel, and this clearly kept to the standard you could expect. On the top floor is a nice restaurant which works excellently from morning for breakfast and as a restaurant for the rest of the day/evening, and connected to the restaurant is a bar, which also functions as a pool bar as it is located directly by the pool. By the pool there were plenty of fantastically delicious sunbeds, with incredible comfort. The same with the pool, not a huge pool, but perfectly adequate. The hotel is about 4-500 meters from the old town and the main street in Hersonissos. Finally, I will write a little about the service, which was very professional and of the highest class. The hotel's staff are really there to ensure that the guests have as nice stay as possible. No matter what we asked for, the answer was always YES, and in this way you as a guest felt valued and important to the hotel. What a great experience the Villagio Hotel was!!! It is close by the village of old Hersonissos. Perfect basis to organise your day trips to several other nearby must-sees. Everything was so well organised and comfortable (beds, towels, breakfast, rental car). Big thumbs up for the cleanliness everywhere. The people that work here are so friendly and are always up to give you extra information, great advice and tips. Thank you Georgia, Maria, Raphael, the girls from breakfast and the cleaning team to make us feel home and totally relaxed. Perfect holiday thanks to you!!!

I saw this hotel advertised on ***********, I have visited Hersonissos old town many times & thought it would make a nice change to stay there. Villaggio Hotel is new & modern, exceptional clean, the staff are very helpful & so friendly, I am only B&B so can’t comment on the food, but if the breakfast is anything to go by the rest of the meals must be very good, there is a lot of choice both hot & cold food. I am in one of the rooms with the private pools, the room is huge with both bath & shower, the bed is large & very comfy, outside there is a sunbed, seating area & umbrella for shade, the area is very private, although the hotel is situated near a main road it can’t be seen & can hardly hear any traffic, the rooms are completely soundproof. Now for the negative, I came away for a peaceful visit which I thought being away from the main area this is what I would get & for a very short while it was, then 3 young men moved into the next room, from early morning they have the music on, can only talk to each other by shouting & have the favourite of all young men the football, the peace has certainly been shattered, one of them has a voice so loud that they must be able to hear him on the beach! I have to say in the room you can’t hear them at all. The other negative which the hotel could sort by employing a garden a couple of times a month, is the ****s on the pathway leading to the rooms with the pools, looks unsightly & is hard to avoid walking on them at night, also I have to do battle with a palm tree if I want to use the pool shower as the lower branch completely covers it, the other rooms seem to have the same problem. Obviously the loud boys are not a permanent fixture, the ****s & palm tree can easily be sorted. Would I return to this hotel? Yes in a heartbeat, perhaps bringing earplugs with me…
